That meme where you attempt to answer basic questions about your life: You know how sometimes people on your friendslist post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when were they working THERE? Since when were they dating HIM/HER? Since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you should already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.

1. First Name: Kirsty. Bet ya didn't guess that one already! *g*
2. Age: 25 *cries* I know, I know, but I still don't like it. Four months and I'm gonna be 26. *cries more*
3. Location: Lincoln, UK. I've been here my whole life. I like it, but I flirt with the idea of moving away frequently. OH and I have talked about it. If the finances and situation are ever just right, we'll be heading north of the border. :)
4. Occupation: At the moment...purchasing clerk. It's a steady job, pays pretty well,and I do enjoy it, but I don't think it's my vocation. I have many regrets concerning my career and have made many mistakes, but there's nothing I can do about that now. What I really want to do is write, but I need to get better at that first.
5. Partner: Just over 3 years, we got engaged earlier this year and we've lived together for just over 2 years. We had a crisis last year and almost split completely, but we made it through and our relationship is stronger than ever now. I think this one's a keeper. :)
6. Kids: Not yet. I do want children and so does OH. We've discussed this quite a lot in the last year (medical issues and concerns about my fertility) and I think we're pretty much in the same place. We'll give it a few years. We want to get married first and get our own place and be settled and ready for it. Planned kids are definitely better than unplanned, but if it happens unexpectedly before then, well, that's no big deal. We'd work it out.
7. Brothers/Sisters: Two younger sisters. One is 22, the other is 17. We're much closer now than we were when we lived together.
8. Pets: one West Highland White Terrier. He's 2 and his name is Hamish.
9. List the 3-5 biggest things going on in your life:
1) Work. I'm waiting for a permanent contract.
2) Wedding planning, but that hasn't really got underway yet.
3) Writing. I'm writing much more these days than I ever have before and it does take up a substantial amount of my free time. I enjoy it much more now too and I think I'm improving. I think. Lol.
10. Parents: Yes I have parents. My issues with my parents would not possibly fit in this meme, it's a whole other post...which I'm not going to make. Lol.
11. Who are some of your closest friends: I have a few friends who I've known for years, since secondary school. A few friends from here and there, past jobs and stuff that I've kept in touch with. I don't really have a best friend in RL. As sad as this might sound, the closest thing I have to a best friend is OH. He just gets me. We connect on a level that I've never known with any friend.
My online friends I value just as much as my RL friends. I used to think it wasn't real friendship if you'd never actually met the person. I'm happy to say I've been proved very wrong. The people I'm talking about...well...you know who you are. :)
