This Is Going To End In Tears
Summary: This story follows WITH FLASHING BANNERS AND ALARMS BLASTING OFF. This is mostly a view from Michael's side as everything takes place around Brian and Justin's lives. Jason doesn't want to leave because there is a part of him that thinks he can win Brian back.
AN: I want to thank my beta Helen with this chapter. I hope you guys like it, please let me know. Enjoy!!! I decided to make them all standalones instead of a whole story. Is just something new I'm trying here.
This Is Just The Beginning
When Michael arrived at his mother house he thought it was funny that Jason was living there. Not that he found it funny that Jason had to move out of the loft because Brian dumped him, or whatever the fuck had happened, but because he knew that it was an attempt from Jason's part to get back with Brian. The blond's family had more money that anyone could dream of and his parents didn't care that Jason was gay. If he wanted to go back home he could and his family would have been happy to take him back; they didn't like Brian very much and boy, would they be jumping with joy if they knew that Jason and the brunet had broken up. They can so totally hire someone to kill Brian for dumping Jason. Damn, I hope they don't do that, hmm...
"Hey," Ben said. "Are you okay?"
"Yes," Michael answered.
"You looked like you were lost there for a second," his boyfriend pointed out.
"Just thinking," Michael replied.
As time went on Michael got more and more frustrated, it was true he had no patience especially while Jason was there and so were Brian and Justin and everyone else kept acting like it was completely normal. Jason had tried to talk to him a few times but he'd given a quick answer each time and tried to ignore the man as best as he could. He couldn't understand why everyone else couldn't do the same. This is so crazy, someone shoot me. Jason was getting annoying to a point where he saw himself driving a screwdriver into himself just so he wouldn't have to take more of the craziness around him.
When they sat down to eat breakfast Jason smiled at him like nothing was wrong. So Michael imagined himself taking hold of Jason's head and beating him against the table. Shoving his face into his very own plate again and again until nothing but a soup of blood and brains remained. Then his life would be stress free and he wouldn't be worrying about what would happen next. It wouldn't make much of difference then because he was more than sure that at one point or another there was going to be a bloodbath between Jason and Justin. Can he see how everyone is looking at him like he's from another planet?
Most of them didn't know what to talk about so everyone was pretty much silent hearing Jason babbling about school, like they care about that. Michael was sure that everyone was choosing to look the other way even when they knew that Jason was there to try and get Brian back. Maybe they just feel sorry for him. Hmmm, well fuck that, pity never did anyone any good. When Jason started talking with Brian, Michael had to look at Justin and was wondering why the older blond just kept on smirking. Shit, maybe they all lost it. Mmm, maybe Justin just knows that he has nothing to worry about. Poor Jason, when he realizes that he really has lost Brian he'll go crazy. Well, maybe he already is. If he snaps all the way he might start killing people and I think I'm high on his list.
"So, how long are you staying here?" Justin asked as he leaned back on the chair.
"Why do you want to know?" Jason asked him as if they had been the greatest friends ever.
Michael wanted to puke at that moment. He closed his eyes for a moment and wished that Jason wasn't there. When he opened them the man was still there making nice like everything was fine and dandy. Ben was looking at him weird but he didn't care. He looked down at his food and wished time just flew by so he could get out of there. It was just too uncomfortable to be there. Jason needed to open his eyes and see what was going on, if not, at the very least someone should point it out to him.
"Just wondering," Justin informed him with a smile.
"I don't know," Jason said. "I have to get my things in order."
"Well, if you need any help let me know," Justin assured him.
Michael stared at the older blond with a raised brow wondering what he was playing at. What the fuck is his fucking problem? God, maybe Brian has him medicated. Mmm, maybe it was something in the food. God, would Ma do such thing? He sighed and grabbed his juice. He smiled when he felt Ben's hand on his thigh squeezing him. Ben moved closer and kissed Michael on the neck.
"This will be over soon," Ben whispered before straightening on his seat.
The dark haired man looked at his partner and smiled brightly. Okay, so now he was having thoughts of pushing Ben into the table and ripping off his clothes before riding his hard cock. He groaned and put a hand over his crotch. He had to think of something else. Like how he was going to get up, push Justin into the floor and beat him the hell up with the pitcher of juice that the blond had gotten up to get to serve Jason. He wondered if he was the only sane person left. Then again, with the thoughts he was having, maybe not. If we keep being nice to him Jason is never going to go away. Can't anybody see that?! He's going to be here forever and all he'll do is cause problems left and right. I just know it!
"Does anyone else want something to drink?" Justin asked.
Ted looked at Emmett who only shrugged. He didn't know what the fuck was going on. When he had arrived for breakfast he thought it was going to be the usual suspects minus Jason. When he saw Jason there he thought that Brian and Justin wouldn't come. That went out the window when the two men in question arrived with Ben and Michael. Someone must have messed up inviting them. Now that they were all there having breakfast, Ted thought that maybe it wasn't really happening. He was still at home in his bed asleep and having one of the weirdest dreams ever. Everyone else pretty much had the same thoughts as Ted. They wondered why Jason was there and why Justin was being so nice, Justin was never nice. They just kept having breakfast and pretending like everything was okay.
Michael was the first one to be done with breakfast before he was going to the backyard. He arched a brow when the door opened and Ben and Brian came outside. The dark haired men arched a brow at them but didn't say anything. He crossed his arms as he sighed and went back to stare into nothing.
"It's crazy in there, huh, Mikey?" Brian asked and then grinned.
"Tell me about it," Michael said. "Is Justin okay or did you have his brain removed?"
"He's just being Justin," Ben pointed out.
Michael sighed and knew that was true. The blond would go the extra mile to be nice to Jason and in the process rub the fact that he was the one that was with Brian. He knew that wasn't a good thing. It was all going to end, oh so very bad. He thought the best thing that could happen now was for Jason to leave, but it didn't matter what he wanted. Brian had the art to find sneaky blonds all around. It was going to be a fight to the death.
"This is so wrong," Michael told them. "They are going to end up gauging their eyes out, I'm sure."
Brian pulled out his cigarettes and sighed when he saw that he needed to buy a pack.
"It's not going to be that bad," Ben said. "He's just making a last attempt to win Brian back."
"That's not going to happen," Brian told them. Now that he had Justin he wasn't going to give the man up for anything in the world. He lighted his cigarette and shrugged.
"Yeah," Michael whispered. "You tell him that."
"What if you call his parents?" Ben asked.
"No," Michael quickly said.
The other two men stared at Michael wondering why he didn't want to do that. Michael sighed and shook his head. That's all they needed to add more problems on top of the ones they already had. The best thing to do now is keep calm and think straight. If we don't blow things out of proportion Jason would get a clue sooner or later. That or kills us all in a moment of utter insanity. The dark haired man opened his eyes wide thinking how that would go.
"Michael," Ben said. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine," Michael assured him.
"Hey guys," Justin said as he came outside. "We're making plans to go to Babylon tonight."
"I swear to god that I will bitch slap him if he says that Jason is going," Michael said.
"Jason wants to go too," Justin said and smirked. "I felt sorry for him and told him yes," the blond said as he walked over to them.
Michael did move towards the blond but Ben grabbed him. Brian snorted as he walked over to his man.
"You're doing drugs this early in the morning?" Brian asked.
"Fuck off," Justin told him. "Mikey, learn to relax or you'll get an ulcer."
"Jesus," Michael hissed as he pulled away from Ben. "This is nuts. Why are you encouraging him?"
Brian pouted momentarily. "You know, maybe it's a bad idea to invite Jason."
"Why?" Justin asked as he arched a brow and then grabbed Brian's cigarette.
"Because," Michael hissed. "It is and that's that. We get it, Justin. You got Brian; you don't have to throw it in his face anymore. That kid is going to fucking buy a gun and kill us all."
"Except Brian," Ben said. "Him, he'll chain up to a wall and keep him as a slave."
"I like that idea," Justin said as he neared the brunet. "You in chains. Hot."
Brian smirked and bent down to kiss the blond. "Want to go home?" he asked huskily. He wanted to have Justin at that moment. He couldn't help it; the blond was back in his life and he wanted to enjoy every inch of the man every second of the day if possible. "I'm going to fuck you so hard," he told the older man.
The blond licked his lips and pulled Brian close to him. He kissed him hard before he let go. He took one last drag of the cigarette before he passed it back to the brunet.
"Get a room you two," Michael said.
Brian grinned at his best friend.
"That's not a bad idea. Let's say goodbye to everyone," Justin said grinning as he pulled Brian by the hand towards the door.
Ben chuckled as he watched them go.
"What?" Michael asked as he arched a brow.
"You know what's going to happen, right?" Ben asked.
The dark haired man frowned not having a clue. "No," he whispered almost afraid to find out what was going to happen.
"You know how Justin is," Ben said smirking. "He's going to go in there and make it more than obvious as to why they are leaving."
Michael groaned and went after his two friends. "Will Justin ever change?"
Ben followed his man and smirked as he watched Michael. He knew his boyfriend was always the one trying to make things alright and yet he was also the one that didn't like dealing with the stress of it all. He knew how tense Michael got in awkward situations like the one they were having. When they got inside they made it just in time to hear the front door closing. Jason was sitting on the couch looking like he was sucking on a sour candy.
"What's going on?" Michael asked with a frown. I guess the message was sent loud and clear. Poor Jason.
Ben watched as Jason suddenly sprang up from the couch and ran up the stairs. He gave Michael a look that said 'told you so'.
"Brian and Justin left," Ted said.
"And it was more than obvious why," Melanie said.
"That poor kid," Debbie whispered.
"Oh, don't worry," Michael told his mother. "He's probably up there trying to come up with the perfect, dark, twisted plan on how to get Brian back and get everyone that stands in his way to disappear."
"Don't say those things," Debbie chastised him.
"Wow, what if he is?" Emmett asked.
"Stop it," Lindsay said. "Mel, we have to go. We have to pick the kids up. My mother has had enough for the day."
"We have to go too," Ben said.
Michael nodded and kissed his mother goodbye. He walked out of the house first and headed to the car. He stopped a few seconds only to let his boyfriend catch up with him. Ben grabbed his hand and they interlaced their fingers before they kept on walking.
"You know," Michael said and sighed. "I don't know what else to do."
"It's not your problem," Ben said. "Justin is a big boy and if he keeps taunting Jason he must know that there is a chance that the kid might retaliate. And Brian should talk to both of them. He should tell Justin to back off and Jason to move on."
"I swear," Michael said. "This is going to end in tears."
"Most probable," Ben agreed.
***
Michael went to his mother's house around six. He knew he was going to be a bit early for dinner but he thought he might be able to help with something. Ben was meeting him there after work. The man thought that things were starting to get better between all of them. It had been a month and things looked calm. At the very least everyone is still alive. He hardly saw Jason because the kid threw himself into his studies so that was good. Brian and Justin seemed to be living in a world of their own and only came out once in a blue moon, no surprise there; some things never changed. He was pretty sure that soon enough Jason was going to be moving away into his own apartment. He should have known better.
He'd known Justin all of his life. He knew that if there was the tiniest little thing that the blond could go after; he would. Michael knew that it could be a hundred years from now and the blond wouldn't forget about it. He knew his best friend well. Justin might not be the kind of guy to show his feelings to the world. He and Brian would act like complete assholes to prove to the world that they didn't care. The problem was that they care too much. I know how hurt you must have been when you saw Jason. You might have even thought that you have been replaced already. How wrong you would have been, Justin. Michael put all his thoughts away and looked at Justin who was in the kitchen table eating what looked like the top of a wedding cake.
"Hey, Michael," Lindsay said from the sofa.
"What is he doing?" Michael asked.
"Eating cake," Lindsay told him.
"Is that the wedding cake?" Michael asked.
Lindsay nodded slowly. "Part of it, Vic had frozen some of it and Justin found it," she said as she set Gus down.
The five year old smiled at his uncle. "Hi, uncle Mikey."
Michael smiled and turned his attention to the stairs where Ashton was running down as fast as he could. "Be careful," he shouted.
"I'm okay," Ashton said as he pushed his blond hair back. "Dad! I want some of that!"
"Come here," Justin said.
Ashton went and sat down on his father's lap. "This is so good," he said after he tasted the cake. "It's cold, I like it."
Justin smiled at that and ran a hand through the boy's hair. "You need a haircut."
"Nah uh," the six year old boy told his father. "It's all mine."
The blond smirked.
Michael walked over to Justin. He couldn't believe it. Someone stop him! He knew that Justin would eat the whole cake if they let him just to prove a point. He sighed and shook his head. He wondered if Jason knew what was happening and what the man would say or do if he found out about it.
"I want to sit here," Gus said as he tried to push Ashton away.
"He's my dad," Ashton said.
"He's my dad too," Gus pointed out.
"There is room for both of you so stop arguing or I'll punish you both," Justin said as he picked Gus up. He sat Ashton in his left thigh and Gus in the other. "You two are so heavy now."
Michael smiled as he looked at the blond with the kids. He thought that Justin looked nice as a father, it fitted him. Jesus, if he heard me he would probably kill me for thinking something like that.
"What?" Justin asked arching a brow as he looked at the dark haired man.
"I didn't say anything," Michael assured him and smirked. He sat down at the table and frowned when he saw the mess the two kids were doing. The door opened and Melanie came inside with Jason. Then at that same time his mother was coming down the stairs saying something about her sauce being ready. When Michael looked at Jason he saw the shocked expression in his face.
"What are you doing?" Jason asked as he looked at the blond. He let his bag drop on the floor and put his hands on his waist.
"What?" Justin asked innocently. About a week ago he had told Jason to get his stuff and leave him and Brian alone but the blond had told him he wasn't going anywhere. So Justin had made up his mind to fuck with the guy if that was the last thing he did.
"That's my cake," Jason yelled.
Gus jumped down from Justin's lap. "It was really good, thanks for sharing," he said before he went over to his mother.
At that moment Michael thought of Brian and how his kid was just like him. He was sure that the brunet would have said something along those lines as well, with sarcasm dripping all over it, of course. Then he looked at Ashton who stuck his finger in the cake and then sucked it.
"Yeah," the boy agreed. "Really good."
"It is," Justin said. "You should try it."
"He didn't," Melanie whispered to Lindsay.
"Oh he did," Lindsay told her wife.
"You're an asshole," Jason yelled.
"Whoa!" Debbie shouted as she turned around to look at them. "No language like that is used around the kids."
"Yes please," Justin said smiling. "I don't want my kids to hear it."
Michael looked at Jason and for a moment he thought the kid was going to start bawling. The angry blond turned around and ran up the stairs. Michael felt bad about it and then he knew it was just how things were going to be. He was starting to see that Justin and Jason were having a war. He heard Justin saying to his son that they were done and to go wash his hands.
The dark haired man shook his head. Something had to be done and soon. If things kept going like they were, someone was going to end up dead. And it all came down to Brian; it was his fault to begin with. He should have never started dating Jason. What was the man thinking? I told him like a million times not to go after the blond, but no, what does Mikey know? Yeah fucking right. If he had only listened to me this wouldn't be happening right now. And when he thought about it, Brian wasn't the only to blame in all of it, well most of all.
It was his mom's fault too for letting Jason stay there. What was she thinking? Poor little Jason, poor my ass! The man didn't need anyone's help. He could go home and forget about Brian. But no, after all that happened is the least we could do after what Brian did to him. He is better than fine, he will forget all about Brian and move on. Yeah fucking right. The kid can be very manipulative and forgetting Brian is not something he's doing. He's probably writing down the many ways he's going to torture Justin before he keeps Brian all to himself. Michael heard loud footsteps coming from his old room.
He thought that the blond was probably tearing the room apart. Why the fuck can't he just let go of Brian? It's not like Brian is that fucking amazing. Mmm, maybe he is. Who the fuck knows what Brian does to men that leaves them with half a brain and only using their cock for guidance. Michael laughed at that and looked around to make sure that no one was looking at him. He sighed and rested his head on the table.
"You okay, Mikey?" Justin asked.
"Fine," Michael muttered. He looked up to see that Justin had a cigarette dangling from his lips. As soon as Justin went outside to smoke the man followed him and sat down next to Justin in the front step of the house. They looked at each other and smiled a bit. "I know what you're doing."
"Is that so?" Justin asked.
"Yeah," Michael said and looked straight ahead. "You think you have to make him suffer because he almost stole Brian away."
"Damn right," the blond spat out. "He thinks he can get him back and..."
"Stop this nonsense," Michael said suddenly. "He never had Brian. No one ever did since you came into the picture years ago, Justin. You think that I arrived at that loft with my heart in my throat because I thought you might be back? No, I was thinking a million things. That he got cold feet or that he was freaking out about being married. But deep down what I really thought was that he was ready to bail. That I was going to be left back explaining to everyone that the wedding was off. The fact that you came back had nothing to do with it. I know Brian; I know he wouldn't have gone through with it."
Justin thought about all that. "You don't know that."
"Yeah, I do," Michael said. "Because he's been in love with you since the moment he laid eyes on you. He has suffered because of you," Michael said. "Just like you have suffered because of him."
Justin stood up. He took a deep hit from his cigarette and then ran a hand through his face. He was pushing back his emotions. "Yeah well," he muttered.
Michael arched a brow but never got a chance to hear what the blond was about to say because Brian came at that moment.
"What are you two doing out here?" Brian asked as he walked towards them. He stopped next to Justin and smiled before he bent down to kiss the man.
"I'm leaving," Justin said and turned around.
Brian arched a brow as he looked at the blond walk away. "What the fuck did you say to him?"
Michael licked his lips and stood up. "You have to fix this whole mess, Brian. You know you do."
"What are you talking about?" Brian asked. "I didn't do anything."
"I'm talking about Jason and Justin," Michael said. "You have to sit down with Jason and tell him that it's truly over. That there is no chance in hell that you're going back with him and if he don't listen you have to tell Justin to back the fuck off. They're going to end up killing each other and you fucking know it."
"Don't be so fucking dramatic, Mikey," Brian said.
"So tell me," Michael said just as Brian was going to step inside the house. "Justin is being like this with Jason because there is nothing better to do, huh? Because the Justin I remember, if he didn't care one way or another he would probably care less if Jason was here or not. He would probably ignore him."
Brian licked his lips and swallowed.
"But for some reason he's fighting the kid," Michael said. "Mmm, is not that he's hurting or that he's scared that he might loose you is it?"
Michael went inside and Brian stood there. He knew that just like him Justin was a professional when it came to hiding his feelings. So if he was feeling those things that Michael said he would never tell a soul. He knew that his blond had the art to act pleasant to Jason so everyone would think everything was fine and yet he would do something inconspicuously towards Jason to hurt him just because of how he was feeling. He turned around and went to find his husband.
***
Michael sat in the middle of his bed Indian style as he thought about everything that had happened. Apparently things were better with Brian and Justin. They had talked or whatever and Justin had backed away from saying things to Jason or doing anything to get the other blond mad. Whatever the brunet did or said was working. And that was amazing but then Jason had to come and add wood to the dying fire. They had been at the diner having breakfast when Jason arrived. He had the biggest smile on place and started claiming he had good news.
He had thought that the blond was moving out and on with his life but the kid apparently had a last trick up his sleeve. He told them that he was pregnant and god, poor Ted had almost choke to death. Justin had stared at Brian like he was about to decapitate him or at the very least, harm the man's cock. Brian didn't utter a single word, he didn't move or blinked and Michael wondered now if his friend had stopped breathing at that moment.
Maybe Jason thought that with news like that he would get Brian back. All he got was Brian accusing him of lying and when Jason showed him the papers that got Justin accusing Brian of fucking the kid without a condom, which Brian totally denied over and over again. Jesus, I thought Justin was going to beat the shit out of Jason even in his condition. Emmett and Ted had to hold Justin back while Brian started screaming at Jason that he was a total asshole. He told him that there was no chance in hell that he was going back with him even if they were having a kid.
He didn't even know what to do with himself at that moment. He had to chuckle at that thought because the problem didn't even affected him personally and he was already becoming a mess. He didn't want to think what it was doing to Brian and Justin. Then again his two best friends could deal with stress better than he did. He thought of getting up and getting a beer but that wasn't really him. That was something he was going to leave for Brian and Justin. They could be the ones to get drunk out of their minds to cope with everything that was happening. He sighed and bit his lower lip as he waited for Ben to get out of the shower.
He leaned back and straightened his legs. He stared at the ceiling and his mind was blank for about point two seconds before he was thinking about the situation again. The thought of having Jason in their lives forever was pretty frightening. He knew that it would only lead to fight after fight and maybe even someone getting killed. Jesus Christ, how is it that Brian and Justin always manage to get themselves in so much trouble all of the time. Ever since we were kids they always did and I had to be there to get them out of it. Ahhh! I need to find myself other people to hang out with. Maybe Ted....mmm, maybe not. Michael looked at Ben when the man got out of the shower and smiled.
"Michael, Michael, Michael," Ben said as he shook his head and walked to the drawer to get his briefs. "You are thinking about what happened today, aren't you?"
"It's eating me alive, Ben," Michael told him. "I don't know what to do or think or say. I haven't spoken to Brian because I just don't know what to tell him."
Ben put his briefs on and then walked over to the bed. He sat on the edge and started rubbing Michael's belly. "Michael, you have to let it go. Brian and Justin and Jason are going to be okay, but if you keep stressing about it, is going to kill you. Seriously," Ben told him.
"I know," Michael said. "But I can't help to think that maybe I could have done something, you know. I should have insisted at the beginning for Brian to just stop seeing him or I don't know. Kill the kid and hide the body."
Ben laughed knowing that his boyfriend was only joking.
"God, Ben," Michael groaned and covered his face. "I just feel bad for Brian and Justin and I'm so angry at Jason. I mean what the fuck. Do we even know if this kid is Brian's?"
"He seems pretty sure," Ben told him.
"It just doesn't add up," Michael said sitting up. "Don't you think? I don't know. It just....so convenient."
"I don't think he would be stupid enough to get pregnant of someone else knowing that Brian is probably going to get the kid tested," Ben pointed out.
"That's true," the dark haired man said and sighed and he leaned back on the bed once again.
Ben moved to the other side of the bed and lay next to his man. They interlaced fingers and Ben kissed Michael on the cheek.
"What if he hired someone to get into Brian's loft and steal his sperm," Michael said.
The buffed man arched a brow and looked at Michael like he was nuts.
"Maybe he is just going to pay someone so when Brian does the test it comes out like it's his kid," Michael told him.
"Jesus," Ben said. "Is your brain working overtime?"
Michael smiled and looked at Ben. "I'm crazy, aren't I?"
"Just forget about it, okay," Ben said.
"Ben," Michael whined. "How can you be so relaxed? They are your friends too."
"Yes, but there is nothing I can do, Mikey," Ben informed him.
"You know, I so totally saw this coming," Michael told him. "I fucking knew that kid was planning something."
"Right, he planned to get pregnant of Brian," Ben said. "After the fact that they were over."
Michael laughed half heartedly at that. "Yeah," he muttered. "You know, when you want to laugh about something because it's hilarious and yet you can't because the situation is so wrong. This whole mess is just it."
Ben arched a brow. "Go to sleep, Michael."
"Yeah," Michael said. "I know," he said softly. "I'm not making any sense. God, I just don't know what to think anymore. What is going to happen with Brian and Justin?"
"They are okay," Ben said. "I talked to Justin and he told me that he wasn't going to leave Brian. Brian told me that he wasn't going to be with Jason and he was going to tie Justin down if the blond even thought of leaving."
"You could have told me that before," Michael said smiling as he thought of Brian tying Justin to the bed. He knew that the brunet would do it too. "Babe, you know that this is going to be anything but easy."
"I know and we'll be there for them," Ben said pulling the man to him. He kissed him hard and his cock reacted when Michael moaned into the kiss. "Here, let me make you relax."
Michael chuckled and was more than willing to let his man erase every thought of Brian, Justin, Jason and anything else at that moment.
***
Ben walked over to Michael and sat with him. He kissed Michael on the temple and whispered that everything was going to be okay. Michael highly doubted that but he didn't say anything. He looked at the kitchen where Debbie, Brian, Jason and Sarah were arguing like they hated each other, which they probably did. Jason had called his mother and told her that he was pregnant. The woman had come and had demanded that Brian married her kid immediately. As to which Brian told her she was just plain crazy. Jason got into it to defend her mother and Debbie got on it to defend Brian.
"I'm not marrying him," Brian hissed yet again.
"You got him pregnant," Sarah yelled. "You're going to take responsibility for your actions! Plus my grandson or granddaughter cannot be born without his two parents being married."
"What does that has to do with anything?" Debbie asked.
"Do not get into this," Sarah told her. "This has nothing to do with you."
"Don't talk to her like that," Brian hissed. "You're in her house. He's been staying here and she has been taking care of him without asking anything for it. Just show a bit of respect."
"Brian," Jason said calmly. "Please, don't yell at my mom."
Michael thought that things were calming down but then, of course, Lindsay came in with Justin. Michael rolled his lips inside his mouth and made two fists. He just knew that things were going to go down hill from there on. He got up when Justin walked over to the kitchen. He just knew that he was going to have to play mediator with all of them.
"Hey," Justin said looking at Brian.
Brian sighed and shook his head signaling that he wasn't in a good mood.
"What's up?" Justin asked and then looked at Jason and the woman. He wondered who she was but didn't really care so he didn't ask. He just moved to the fridge to grab a beer.
"My God," Jason said. "It's like two in the afternoon and you're already getting drunk."
"None of your fucking business," Justin answered.
"Don't talk to my son like that," Sarah said to the man.
"Are you serious?" Justin asked and passed his beer to Brian. "You called mommy to help you out."
"Justin," Michael said sternly.
"I'm taking the kids and leaving," Lindsay announced as she went up the stairs. "Thanks for watching them Deb," she said moving as fast as she could. That was something she didn't want to be there for. Then again she could stay up in the room and pretty much listen to anything.
"No problem sweetie," Debbie shouted at her.
Ben sighed as he scratched the back of his head. He put his feet on the coffee table and then threw his head back while he closed his eyes. He was listening to what was being said just in case he had to go and separate anyone of them.
"Shut the fuck up," Jason hissed getting in front of Justin's face.
"Don't think for a second that I won't fucking punch your lights out," Justin hissed. "Get the fuck out of my face."
Michael pushed himself in the middle. "That's enough. I think we should just relax and you know what else? Everyone should leave."
"Don't tell me what to fucking do, Mikey," Justin said.
Brian pulled the blond to him. "Go home, I'll be there soon."
Justin didn't like that one bit but nodded. "Whatever," he spat out.
Michael was glad for that. Now all he had to do was make Brian and Jason sit down and talk about how things were going to go. He knew that Brian would give Jason everything he needed for the baby and do anything that had to be done. That's all that Brian could offer or wanted to offer. But then, Jason had to open his mouth and everything was shut down to hell. Michael shouldn't have even been surprised because he knew that the moment that Justin came to the house everything was going downhill, so why did he suddenly hoped for more it was beyond him.
"Yes, please," Jason said smirking. "Leave us because this has nothing to do with you."
Michael was stunned as Justin only kept walking away. Fuck me, the world is ending. He's just going to leave it at that. Wow, he's so growing up. I'm so proud of him.
Justin who was already half way to the door smirked. He turned around and went back to the kitchen. He just stood there not saying a thing.
"I thought you were leaving," Jason pointed out.
Justin shrugged. "What business is of yours what I do?"
The younger blond sighed. "Well, this is none of your business."
Michael swallowed wondering what Justin was up to. He was actually scared because the blond looked too calm, way too calm.
Justin of course smirked. He looked at the brunet who arched a brow then back at Jason. "It is my business. I want to be here too. It's my duty after all to learn everything I can. I will be there with Brian when we stay with junior as he gets older. We'll have our visits to the park and the zoo and all that crap that parents do."
The dark haired man nodded. Of course, what the fuck was I thinking. He should have seen that one coming. He knew that the blond was only saying that to get on Jason's nerves and it was working because as Justin had talked the younger man's eyes looked like they were about to fall from his sockets.
"You have lost your mind!" Jason yelled. "You're not going to be anywhere near my child!"
"But I thought you wanted Brian to be part of the babie's life," Justin said. "Brian has a right to spend time with his kid."
"Justin," Brian said walking over to the blond. He put his hand on Justin's arm and he could feel how tense the blond was.
"Brian, tell him that's not going to happen," Jason said almost desperate.
"What does he have to do with all this?" Jason's mom asked as she looked at Debbie.
Debbie sighed and bit her lower lip. What was she supposed to tell the woman?
"Jason," Brian said. "You got to understand that Justin is going to be there. He is…"
"No!" Jason hissed. "No way."
"Look relax," Brian said. "You shouldn't be stressing."
"I know," Jason said and glared at Justin. "It's all his fault."
Brian pinched the bridge of his nose.
"You know what," Justin was about to say but didn't have the time.
"Come on," Brian said and grabbed him by the arm. "You're going home."
Jason smiled widely at Justin and the older man only grinned at the young man.
"Good," Jason said. "When Brian comes back we can talk about this."
Ben looked at Michael and they knew that Brian wasn't coming back.
"Do you want anything honey?" Debbie asked. "I could make you something to eat."
"Not right now, Debbie, thank you thought," Jason told her. He sighed and got up and then walked to the window. "What is he doing?!"
"What do you mean honey?" Sarah asked with a frown.
"Brian is leaving with him!" Jason said and ran to the door. He was about to start yelling for the brunet but the Jeep was already driving away. He looked back at everyone that was staring at him like he was nuts. He closed the door as his heart exploded with pain. The young man walked back to the kitchen and sat down at the table before he started crying.
Michael felt bad but there wasn't anything he could do. "You just had to go there," Michael said harshly. "Why do you insist in always having a fight with Justin?"
"Michael," Debbie chastised.
"Look," Michael said more softly. "Brian will be there for you with anything you need."
Ben moved to the kitchen as well. "He's right you know. Brian will help you with anything the baby needs."
"You don't know that!" Jason yelled.
"Don't yell at him," Debbie said. "He's just trying to help you."
"You're coming home with me," Sarah said putting a hand on Jason's shoulder. "I can see that man doesn't care about you."
"Brian...Brian is a good man," Michael said. "So yes, he's made some mistakes but who doesn't do them. He's already married and he's not going to get a divorce just to marry Jason because he wants to. I said Brian will be there for the baby and he will. Not many people would even do that so stop bitching already and take what you got, Jason."
"Why is he so much more important than me?" Jason asked. "I'm having his baby."
Debbie sighed and sat next to Jason. "Honey, that boy has never known how to act around Justin, ever since they were little. It's just one of those great loves that never die."
That seemed to crumble Jason's spirit even more.
"That's not helping," Michael whispered to his mother.
"What do you mean he's married?" Sarah asked. "He was going to marry Jason a few months ago?"
"Look," Ben said. "Right now the best thing to do is concentrate on the baby, right?"
Everyone nodded at that.
"So, I'll go and talk to Brian and that way he can help you going to the appointments and what not," Ben said. "One step at the time."
"He should be here with him all of the time," Sarah said sitting next to her son and hugging him.
Jason started bawling and Michael opened his eyes wide.
"Uh..." Michael tried to speak.
"Let's give them some time," Debbie said getting up.
They moved to the living room. Michael took that opportunity to say goodbye to his mother and leave the house. He just had to get out of there because Jason's crying was getting to him. It was about the same time that Lindsay made her move to get away after having listened to everything that had happened. Ben helped her load the kids into the car.
"Let's go home," Michael said when his partner stood next to him. He waved at Lindsay as she drove away.
"Sure," Ben told him as he started walking to their car.
Once they were in the car Michael was grinning a bit.
"What's with you?" Ben asked putting on his seatbelt.
"Wasn't I right? I told you this was going to end up in tears," Michael said. He wasn't the least surprised that it had been Jason.
"That you did," Ben said as he started the car. "Then again, this is just the beginning."
Michael sighed and covered his face. Justin was so totally right, if he didn't relax he was so getting an ulcer. Fuck me!
