Oneword: Sprinklers

Thanks to a link from a fellow NaNoer, I recently discovered oneword.com. It's quite a clever little site that posts a one word prompt each day, gives you one minute to write on it, then lets you post it and read other people's responses. It's quite good, and I'm hoping it can help with if I hit a wall with my novel next month. Today is the first day I've actually done it, and here's my response.

Children shout and cry in delight as they run across the wet grass, water splashing them. The bright neon colors of their swimsuits glisten in the summer sun. The sprinklers maker their merry ch-ch-ch-ch-whoosh sound as they revolve.
