First, this in NO WAY sucks. In fact, it's pretty awesome.

Second, I love how you addressed Spencer's fears, insecurities, and trust issues. Spencer is definitely going to have issues after everything and the fact that he wouldn't allow himself to 'submit' to Aaron emphasizes his fears and hurt. Also, Spencer is sort of stuck right now without any career or really any way to escape his own thoughts. He's bound to get caught up in his fears and being afraid to trust Aaron again after everything. I really liked that the trust issues manifested in their physical relationship -- that seemed very realistic.

I also love how Aaron was determined to regain Spencer's trust again. I feel bad for Aaron too here -- Foyet's attack really messed him up mentally and physically, and driving Spencer away almost destroyed him. Aaron is also a bit lost and his utter need for Spencer is heartwrenching.

I loved that Rossi was right about sleeping on the couch and that Aaron would never admit it.

And mostly I loved, loved, loved how Spencer held onto Aaron at the end. There's hope for healing their relationship, althugh there is still fear over what Foyet is going to do.

As today is my birthday, I am going to pretend that you updated this story just for me to make my day. :)

(Also, it's 3:30am and I can't sleep -- insomnia FTW! -- so if I'm not coherent I apologize. The bottom line is, of course, that I love this story.)

ETA: Oh, one more thing. I love how Spencer's “Don’t ever leave me again,” here is reminiscent of Spencer's "Don't leave me," which he says after the first time he and Aaron made love. That line really got me, emotionally, the first time and it got me again here. Both times you've shown Spencer's vulnerability and his emotional need for Aaron. *happy sigh*

Why yes, I'm on my numerous re-reading of this chapter. Why do you ask?

Definitely didn't suck.

Ee you noticed that! Yay! I really hoped someone would. ^^ And I'm so so glad you didn't think this chapter sucked... I think I read it too many times and just couldn't tell anymore.

Thank you thank you, as always. *hugs*
