Everything as it Should Be
She asks him to dance with her, and he does, hesitant, awkward, feeling like the worst kind of fool, not that there's anybody else about to see it.
He's glad there's no one watching, truth be told, and not just cause she's clearly the one leading. He's not sure the doc would approve of his hand sitting so low on her back, not sure Zoe would approve of how little space there is between them, and how it seems to be getting less every time they turn.
He's none too sure he approves of how well they fit together, once that space is closed and she's flush up against him, hips and hands together, her head tilted just enough that he can see the pulse jumping along her throat, like her blood's keeping time for them ( ... )
