(Hatori is lounging on the couch in the Sohma apartment, reading a book. The feed is silent, but, for the most part, the doctor looks peaceful. He has clearly almost finished the book, as there are only a few pages left. The genre and the title, however, can not be distinguished, as the angle in which Hatori is holding it prevents it from being seen. For a while, this is all the video is; the gentle sound of pages turning and the silence as he reads.
He's tired. Both emotionally and physically. The disappearances of the Sohmas have taken its toll on the doctor, not to mention, he has to deal with the reactions of the others. God, in particular. But no one needed to know that.
Finally, Hatori closes the book and places it down on a table near him. He reaches over for a pack of cigarettes, takes one out, and lights it. Taking it in-between his two fingers, he exhales a cloud of smoke as he closes his eyes.)
