Rodney was torn from his thoughts when they arrived home. Even from here he could smell lunch and was grateful that Radek had brought Rachel into the group. Not only was she a wonderful woman and fantastic in bed, she could cook.
As soon as the doors opened he followed his nose to the kitchen. {Shenzi, I smell food.}

{Enough, love, you berated the last minion of the day. Finish the rant and let's watch something on the laptop. I've got the hockey playoffs Sean brought me. After all, you and I are civilized enough to cuddle during hockey, hm?}

{Yeah, sure. Is popcorn on the okay list or must I suffer through the playoffs without it?}

Rae let go and grabbed her laptop. Had to love naquadah batteries, but no sense in overheating the processors all day at home, too.
{Popcorn is good, but not very much butter and right now, no salt. At least John can moan and whine about that too. I'll get it set up in the bedroom if you'll make the popcorn...}
Rae called out as she moved the laptop to the bedroom, to a setup similar to the living room, but not as large. A few connections and they were ready to go. {It's the St. John's Fog Devils, woo hoo! They replaced the Maple Leafs, who were relocated to Toronto last year. Damn them. But they made it big this year. We've got them up against the Gatineau Olympiques. Wonder if Radek would like this, the Forward for the Fog Devils is Czech, Ivo Mocek.} Rae changed into a t-shirt and a pair of John's boxers for comfort.

Rodney huffed and left her to go make popcorn. {Fine, fine.} Once he was in the kitchen, however, Rodney frowned. The others were giving up stuff just because he couldn't have it? As the popcorn cooked, Rodney hugged himself and considered.
By the time he joined Rae with the popcorn, he was all smiles again and ready to sneer at the opposing team. {Maybe. Who knows? I didn't even know he liked hockey until you came along. For the last year he's declared Switzerland whenever John and I get into it over American football and hockey.}

She grinned, sitting on the bed. {Well, we'll just have to fix that, won't we?} She grabbed her comm from the nightstand where she'd set it to change clothes. Putting it on, she tapped it lightly...
"Radek? Are you at a point where you could stop for the day? Rodney and I really really need you to come look at something."
She winked at Rodney, knowing he'd be amused even if he couldn't understand it. Ooo boy, speech therapy was going to piss him off... Rae shoved the pillows up against the headboard to make a nest and moved back against it, patting the spot beside her for Rodney.

He watched her comm Radek and smiled in amusement at her wink and the tone of her voice. Oh, but his wife was wicked. He didn't know what she'd said, but he could tell it wasn't 'come watch hockey with us'.

Shoes, socks and pants are next, leaving him in just John's t-shirt style undershirt. He grabs a pair of John's boxers and dons them then moves to sit beside Rae. He puts his arm around her shoulders on top of Rodney's and soon the boys are in a playful shoving contest over who gets to have their arm around Rae.
{She was my wife first!}
{I was here first ( ... )
