Late yesterday afternoon I had one of those classic WTF moments.
I had just put a few books and assorted 'stuff' in the passenger side of my SUV, which lies in the first station of my multi-sectioned carport. I looked up the up at the covered telescope and decided I need to check the tarp before leaving.
As I headed that way, I felt something brush my face.
Then I felt something vibrating and 'buzzing' on the right side of my face, close to my ear.
Hmm...must be a beetle or some flying insect that must have flew into my head and got caught/snarled in my hair. Ok, no problem..
I reached up a loosely grabbed the tangled arthropod and casually tossed the critter onto the ground.
..I wonder what it was ....CHRIST - fuck me!
Running way from me on the ground was a huge, ugly brownish colored orb-weaving spider with a body the size my upper thumb and a legspan of ~ 3-inches or so.
Now THAT was pretty freaky. I never knew or even heard of a spider that could produce a low-pitched bug-like vibration. Plus having that 8-legged bastard stuck in my hair and grabbing it with my right hand wasn't exactly a pleasant thought, either.
I killed it, precious. Nasty, filthy crawly spiderssess ..we hates 'em more than Hobittessess.
