surreal
I'm going to Wes Reunion this weekend, having skipped the past three years (the inconvenient placement of my dissertation defense broke my perfect attendance streak). Not sure what to expect, I'm thinking it may feel weird to go back at this point. Usually there are some happy surprises of people I hadn't expected to see. If it's too strange I'll vacate down to visit M in NYC for the rest of the weekend, since it only adds an hour to the 10hr round-trip. I love driving Yolk, but living in the middle of goddam nowhere gets tiresome... Meanwhile, I've been wrestling with acoustics all week and haven't gotten nearly enough done to feel okay about leaving tomorrow! (alas, it's the academic mantra...)
