Well, a fine howd'ya do. I get to go off-world again and I'll miss Radek's return. He's not gonna be happy. At least we know what to expect, where I'm going. The Genii we're in truce with, Laden's bunch, need some help getting some atomic shielding installed. At least that's easy. I've got a small team, but a couple more soldiers this time.

Astarte weaved in his hand then bobbed up and down decisively, hissing approvingly.
"Very well, love." He spun on his heel and left the room. A few minutes later he was entering the room. The door shut behind him with a chilling finality.
"Hello, my dear.

"Hello, my dear."
A tall man stood in front of her, imposing and strong. His clothes fit him extremely well and were regal in cut, yet obviously made to move in. His eyes were dark and cold, and he smiled ominously behind his sharply trimmed moustache and goatee. His left hand was covered in some strange kind of jewelry, golden in color, that only seemed to cover his fingertips. It was what was in his right hand that caused her fear, however. An alien snake, long with wicked looking fins and four spikes for a mouth with red eyes. They only place she'd seen anything like that... was the briefing back at SGC on the Goa'uld... Her eyes snapped back up to the man's in fear and knowledge.
"Who the hell are you? And what do you want?"

"I am Ba'al and I want nothing more than to be reunited with my wife, Astarte here." He gently lifts Astarte, who snaps her mandibles at Rae. "All you have to do is hold still. After a moment's pain, all will be right again." He sounds so reasonable, so friendly. If it wasn't for the goa'uld symbiote he held, and the dark glint to his brown eyes, you would think he was the most reasonable, logical, kindest man you ever met.
"Now don't make this hard on yourself, dear." He raised his left hand, showing the orange jewel in the center. "I would prefer not to have to make you lose consciousness."

Her eyes quickly tracked the room as she talked, backing up a little. "Well, I'm afraid that's just too damn bad. I'm a married woman, and not the slightest bit interested in you, or in females, either, thank you very much. And I've already got a doctor, so I don't believe the 'this'll only hurt for a minute' crap."
The small of her back hit the table's edge. Her heavy protective apron kept her from moving fast, and the protective gloves she'd donned for work were large and long. Rae held up a hand in a blocking gesture as his hand rose to reveal an entrancing jewel in his palm. All she could think was, 'That's a lot bigger than the ones in Logan's Run...'

"Oh, I know you're married, dear. That is why you were chosen. You are married to one of the highest men in Atlantis." He ran his gold-tipped finger across Astarte's back. She crooned as she leaned into the caress. "Oh, I'm certain you and Astarte will get along famously. She can be...very...persuasive."
Ba'al watched as her situation and her chances of getting out of it dawned. "So you see, my dear, you really have no choice. It would be easier on us all if you simply accepted the inevidable."
He watched her for a moment before slowly pacing to her, cradling Astarte close to his chest. He reached out with his gloved hand and gently tucked a strand of hair behind Rae's ear. "You are so very lovely. Worthy of a Queen."
