Movies, wedding & stuff

Figured I'd do a bit of an update over lunch at Uni. So movies first, went to see Mamma Mia with Kate & Katy and it was fab :) So much fun. The music was like it had been written for the movie and not the movie for the music. The scenery was gorgeous, and the storyline really funny. Big thumbs up.

A week or so later I went to see WALL:E. I had great expectations of this one as the reviews had been amazing. And was sorely disappointed. I mean don't get me wrong, I didn't not like it. I just wasn't blown away by it. It was a "cute" movie. Nothing more special than that!

Yesterday I went to see The Dark Night. Oh my God. I was totally blown away. I think this could possibly be one of, if not THE best movie I have seen in a long long time. I was hooked from beginning to end. The actors were all fantastic, the action scenes amazing, the story line gripping. It was dark and gritty and just WOW. Need I say more?

Friday my brother and Sadie got married. It was a really nice day, the weather was great and the place they got married really picturesque. It was nice to catch up with all the family. I learned I don't do well on Pims in the sunshine unfortunately, and had to drink nothing but water during the meal as a result :( I did sip the champagne during the toasts. Both Si and Sadie looked fab and enjoyed their day which is great :)

Saturday I got to catch up with Izzy, Catherine, and Catherine's little girl Amber (12 weeks old now). We, in our wisdom, planned to do a five mile ramble. After all, Ambers buggy is designed for off road too. Unfortunately the poor little thing was being thrown about all over the place so couldn't sleep. And it was a really hot day. Even if we tried to carry her she was still being bumped and got even hotter. So the tears came, and came and came. I think we probably did about a mile and a half before turning back! Even then we were out far longer than we would have thought. That evening we were joined by Hayley and Danny and we all sat around chatting, playing with Amber and just chilling. Exactly what I needed.

Sunday had brunch in Kingston with Hannah, Izzy and Hayley before heading back up North ;)
