For those of you who want to get ahead this week, I'll go ahead and post the prompt for week two.
Choose a contemporary "text" (remember that this does not have to be a printed text; you can use songs, films, tv programs, advertisements) and argue for its status as literature. You will want to give a brief definition of what it means for a text to be literary.
