so i've kind of taken the past couple of weeks "off"...
it's been pretty relaxed for me in the past couple of weeks. i haven't done a lick of work (well, except for the part where i took a final and wrote a 12 page paper...) and i even spent all of yesterday in my pj's. hadn't done that in forever, so it was nice. now that i've recuperated, though, it seems like time for an update. so let's see how much of the past couple of weeks i actually remember....
the thursday after my final, todd and i had visitors come into town. martin and jocelyn stayed for a week, during which we played a bunch of games, went out for dinner at harvard square, went out for dinner at the north end (yummmmm...seriously, for those of you who have been dissapointed by the north end in the past, give limoncello a shot...it's nummy), and last but not least, WE WENT TO SIX FLAGS! yay!! i love roller coasters. but, i mean, LOVE LOVE LOVE them. to the point where despite feeling like i was about to vomit for the entire afternoon after having eaten a big 'ole turkey leg for lunch, i rode everything. over and over and over again. spectacular! luckily, i never actually hurled, so that was good. it was todd's first time on "real" roller coasters, and he mostly liked them, i think.
also in the past two weeks, i've had rehearsals for a one-act play that todd and i will be in this weekend. it's part of a playwrights' platform summer festival thing. it's been fun. i play this pretty neurotic character (type-casting?) and i still need to embrace the absurdity of it all, but hopefully that'll come together before thursday. in other theatre-related things...crazy for you auditions are june 12/13, and i'm still considering whether or not to audition. i've got mixed feelings about the show, i guess, but i do like the music. i've seen it professionally done before, but it was so long ago now, that i've forgotten all but the overarching story. also, the fact that prod week overlaps with the first of september means that moving may become more of a hassle than it would otherwise be. and really, perhaps i should concentrate on my work (or finding a job?)... anyway, i'll decide closer to the date, i guess. any ideas on what i should sing?
