Couldn't get to sleep until 4:30AM again, dunno what the hell is wrong with me. I went to bed at like midnight or something, rolled around for half an hour, couldn't even close my eyes letalone get to sleep. Decided to jump on the computer for a bit and read to try and tire my eyes, that didn't work, so I put on an episode of Bones and got into bed ( Read more... )

Omg I had to deal with the stupid freaking buses this morning too. Blasted thing made me late for my appointment :( I hate being late. Then the back door on the bus I caught was broken and people were too stupid to listen when the driver said it was broken so they kept trying to exit through it anyway. Whhhhyyyy must our public transport fail so much?

Good luck in Melbourne :) Pretty much the only thing that really helps with presentations is having read it all out loud a couple times before-hand so you know how it flows, I've found.

I also apologise for the fickleness of girls. Most females drive me mental. This is why I could never actually be a lesbian.

Yeah the buses were horrid this morning - I was on track to be early for work for the first time in forever (especially impressive considering the 4:30AM sleep) but NOOOOOOOO!

Hahahaha, I just got this funny visual of braindead commuters throwing themselves at the exit door like a moth trying to escape via a sealed window, wondering what's going wrong.

Thanks for the good luck! I haven't actually prepared any words for my presentation, I'll just be making it up as I go. I do this fairly often though and it's usually pretty successful, so we'll see what happens. :P

And yep - girls can be fickle alright. But I'm pretty sure us guys are a thousand times worse. :(

In reality, probably girls and guys are equally terrible to deal with. But I'd like to think it'd all be better if people were just freaking honest. I am, but have had to learn to tone down the brutal honesty so it doesn't offend people as much.

:) Enjoy Melbourne... I'd like to live there as apparently the shopping is tons better than Brisbane.

But brutal honesty is the best kind! :)

I dunno about the shopping, but the night life was certainly a blast tonight! :D

I had the most amazing gyoza & cocktails at the long bar.

Nom nom nom!

Believe me, if you combine brutal honesty and shopping with my friends, you end up with the shopping equivalent of walking through a mine field. So instead of saying "that looks terrible" I generally say either "how about we keep looking?" or "have you tried this other dress?". Because apparently girls don't like the "no that looks terrible. Try this instead." Or something.

Yay for tasty munchables. Well, Melbourne is the land of the black clad and well taliored/draped people so perhaps you'll see a greater proportion of people not wearing denim cut offs and thongs? We can only hope.

And now I can't reply to anything until Monday because am going to The Land of No Internets i.e. my grandparent's place, so I'm closer for my physio appointment.

hahaha, when it comes to fashion advice from girls i'm very receptive to honesty! But I can see how that might land you in a bit of trouble with most!

The places we went to lastnight were really upper class! Everyone was dressed really nicely. :)

No internets? Noooooo! lame :(
