when i am blue i like to make PLANS
my summer reading list, from goddard library:
this earth of mankind, pramoedya ananta toer // PL 5089 .T8 B8413 1996
black clouds over the isle of gods, various // PL 5088 .B57 1997
i looked through the library of congress headings in goddard alphabetically and there are the indonesia books between the history of madras india and indoor air pollution. and hoy by the way,
goddard has a fiction section??! SINCE WHEN. and why is there so much chick-lit?

looking through excerpts of toer online i came to a daunting realization that my reading comprehension in indonesian is about as good as my reading comprehension in french.
pat on the back and a lollipop to my french studies. horrified ruler-slap to the wrist of my mother-tongue.

i don't write in journals anymore - the sentences just course through my head en route to class & rehearsals & joe's & different sorts of sentences for every destination though they all carry sentiments tending towards as we lengthen towards or away from the sun rising setting because beginnings and ends are the same thing: long shadows.
told i dwell on things too much i tried not to dwell at all at all
told i care too much and look what happens.
here are some nice poems by yehuda amichai
a man in his life"When he loses he seeks, when he finds
he forgets, when he forgets he loves, when he loves
he begins to forget."
once a great love this is another poem of his called "i know a man", this is all it is:
I know a man
who photographed the view he saw
from the window of the room where he made love
and not the face of the woman he loved there.
recommend to me more poems i should read.
