While last year's lesson was "take time to relax", this year's is "keep busy." It's not that the world gives me contradictory messages; they're both part of the same message: equilibrium. One of the things is that I'm trying to be a better friend. I've started calling people more to hang out with them and making a bigger effort to get out of the house, and surprise surprise they've started calling me back to hang out! Gasp.
St Pat's was hot. The low point was when Brock bled on me*. The high point was our drunken Park-Florence parade, singing about why we are hot. (It is because we are fly.)
* What a horrible thing to say. His head wound was a fucking geyser. After running drunkenly and blindly (literally blindly - someone nabbed his glasses and he gave chase) down the notorious 114 stairs, he inevitably tripped and faceplanted the wall. Muttering something about calling EMS, he then runs to the bathroom where some girl almost beat him to it. Yo, imagine you're fucked up at a party and you need to piss but this guy covered in blood forces open the door and says, "SORRY BUT I REALLY NEED TO USE THE BATHROOM." Best bystander comment: "He's bleeding a lot but it's okay - he doesn't have AIDS."
In other news, Desi Hungama co-director = me.
:-D
