It was such a nice thing that they had freed me. That Wesley and his brilliant scheme, along with the urging of Cordelia to do whatever it took to find out more about the beast, had worked like a charm.
Of course, they had me locked in the cage. Of course. Couldn't let me roam free, exactly, could they? They were weak. They were weak with my other, brooding, pathetic half leading them and they were weak without them. It took me about an hour to rattle the cages up there, and eventually, Wesley was gone, after trying to butter me up. Of course, that was after I had almost bitten Fred, and Gunn, Othello himself and Wesley came down to save her, with a tranquilizer dart.
Then, I came to and Cordelia comes down to try to butter me up, and she just wasn't herslef, offering me up, sticking the twins in my face. She offered to give me the best ride, better then any mustang, which of course, turned out to be her. But, when she didn't come back, and of course, she looked pregnant as hell, which was scary, because it would have had to have been the offspring on the way of the annoying fruit of my loins, what with all of the humping and pumping that they had done...well. it wasn't exactly epic and memorable, because, hey, it was Connor...and I didn't exactly want her with the full-belly look, I decided that it was high-time to escape.
Connor threatened me, and was about to let me out, when he went running, the Momma's boy, knocking up the closest thing to a mother that he had, when Cordelia had called him. I wanted to tell him about Cordy's offer to me, but I didn't have time. Free, and already raising havoc, I decided it was time to raise more, especially since the punk of my spunk had taken off one of the two locks before being called away by his puppetmaster with the big twins and the bigger belly.
I didn't mention that to the other, either, when I was toying with them, which was a pity, because they didn't know how she was pregnant, or why, because Cordy hadn't been forthcoming with the news, or around much.
I kicked the cage open and made my way up the stairs. Wesley had left after the fight with Othello, and I believed that Othello and Fred had gone after Connor and Cordy and probably wouldn't find them. Green jeans was gone too. How great it would be when they noticed that I was gone. Oh wait. They wouldn't notice, because I would kill them. I pushed out into the night and there were vampires everywhere. The beast was out here somewhere, and Cordy was chasing Connor, somewhere. they weren't in the hotel, or at least I didn't believe that they were, because I couldn't sense them, and Connor was so annoying, and Cordy was so hot, even pregnant, that I could sense her from miles away.
Wesley was away somewhere, shunned by the twig that he loved, and probably floging himself at his apartment. I would have to pay him a visit. That was in the cards, but before I did anything, I enjoyed a fresh kill. She was so scared and sweet. I took the cigarettes away from her and looked around. So many were dying at the hands of other vampires. It was. Well it was poetic. Angel had tried to save this city for so long, and now, he was gone, and so where so many innocent people.
I would be sure to add to that body count. Heavily. I enjoyed the cigarette, looked around and smelled the air. The chaos and the blood spilling made it hard to discern the people that I knew from the ones who's blood was just blood to me. But, the trace of Fred was there, and fear was huge. They were in trouble. I rushed towards them, but not to save them. It brought a smile to my face.
I heard Fred screaming and then the screaming stopped and as I rounded the corner, I saw Lorne running away, as Gunn was dead at the hands of the beast, and as Fred cowered. Before I could drain her, or maybe take advantage of her first, the beast broke her neck and I stopped in front of him.
"Not fair. Those kills were mine." He swung at me after saying my name in his annoying way. "Not fair, stonehegde. Why don't you go do something useful like stand in England so that people can mark the time?"
He swung at me and missed and I hit him repeatedly. I hit him over and over, until he eventually swatted me through the air with a backhand.
"Ouch, big guy. But if I recall correctly, you used to be stronger then you are now. This isn't over."
I smiled and he looked annoyed as I rushed away and chased after Lorne. Catching him was so easy, and when he saw my face, he was already filled with fear. "Come on, Lorne? Gunn made your life miserable. He and his band of African's destroyed your club. How can you miss him?"
I didn't give him a chance to retort. I twisted his neck and as he fell, I knew that he wasn't dead. His left buttock. I wasn't going to touch it, because, hey, a happy guy doesn't play that way, but what I did do was pick up a stray piece of wood and jab it into his backside, as he looked up to me, his chest facing downward, but his neck so twisted, that his head faced me. the look on his face as I destroyed his heart and killed him. Well...let's just say that I would never forget it.
The beast turned the corner and saw me killing Lorne, and I smiled at him, pointing. "Want me, Stony? Then try and catch me."
I rushed away, laughing all of the way. It was time to visit Wesley's apartment and really have a good heart to heart with him, before, well...before I took his heart from him.
