Alex once mentioned that many years ago her father used to take the family upstate every Fall to see the leaves change color. So it came as a shock when Olivia surprised Alex with a packed suitcase, a tank full of gas, and a promise to start the couple's own Fall tradition. Three days later Alex smiled warmly at a framed picture of Olivia standing under a canopy of colorful trees.
A week later Olivia opened her phone to find a picture message of Alex dressed in a green trench coat. An hour later Olivia received another picture message showing Alex in a shabby pale orange sweater. Sixty minutes later, Olivia received a picture of Alex clad in a brown tee shirt. Again one hour later Olivia eyed a picture of Alex in a yellow bra and panty set. Four hours after the first photo arrived Olivia opened her phone to find a picture of Alex dressed in revealing red negligee.
Frustrated and perplexed Olivia sat silently in the courtroom waiting for Elliot's testimony to end. Just as court adjourned, Olivia's cell phone's screen flashed to life once again. Olivia watched as all of the pictures of the day faded in and out on her screen. Finally the words “Olivia, what happens after the leaves fall from the trees?” The final picture caused Olivia to curse silently before shoving her phone in her jacket pocket and running toward the courtroom doors. Across town, Alex smiled to herself as she laid naked in the couple's bed and waited for Olivia to come home
