Y'ALL, I LOVE THIS HOTEL.

Okay, so they didn't have E!, which made me sad yesterday, but today all is forgiven. First of all, I slept like a dreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaam last night, to the point where, after going to bed late, I woke up a half hour early before dozing for another half hour and then getting up, well-rested and ready to go. The shower was wonderful, spacious, and nice and hot. Then, after a full day of conference sessions and networking, I got up here and dropped a few things off. The beds were turned down and the towels were taken away, as expected. And really, that's one of the little joys of staying in a hotel; things are just taken care of.

I went down for a cocktail hour and out to get some wine for tonight (a bottle of questionable rose, ruh-roh), and when I got back, I was a little thrown off to find the television on. It was set to the "Turndown" channel, a channel with nature scenes set to really wonderful classical music, and when I tried to figure out what the hell they'd changed, I realized they'd fixed up the bed, and left me with (wait for it) a bucket of ice. maggiesox and leethaithbetht, y'all know how this makes my little heart pitter-pat with glee. Ice! For the whole damn night! Eeeee! God, it's the little things, isn't it?

NOW, POLL. Should I order room service? I'm stuck here for a while to check email, and I can't decide if it's a good idea or not (or, really, if I can rationalize it). I didn't have ANY dinner last night (according to my receipts and whatnot), so it's not like it's breaking the bank. HALP, GENTLEFOLK.
