Sunshine State.
I'm in California. Did I forget to mention that?? Right.
So, Suzie and I got here safe and sound after our flight, and taking only carry-on luggage is about the most beautiful thing in the ENTIRE WORLD. So easy. So fabulous. I love it. We are here until Thursday afternoon, and touch down in Boston at 11pm, yowch.
We got picked up by the ever-lovely aloha_moira and her other half, and then managed to start our time off in Cali with In-N-Out burgers. I haven't had fast food in FOREVER, and I wouldn't even count this stuff as fast food. It is delicious burgers and REAL FRIES, made rather quickly. So delicious.
Came back to Berkeley, hung out for a bit, walked up Telegraph Avenue to the Berkeley campus, ate a delicious dinner (mmmm grilled cheese and souuuuup), and got ice cream. Fell asleep to the lilting tones of Eddie Izzard, and thus a really good vacation was born.
....of course, the fact that my boss called me today makes it a little less awesome and a little more irritating, BUT WHATEVER.
BUT. I am in Californina, we are going to see THE MOTHERFUCKING RED SOX, and life is pretty damn good. Now off to shower, find breakfast, and then head out to The City.
