Long, Rambling Post about Cheese.

1. maggiesox, this one is for you. Because I, too, was touched by a Cheesy Moment (a moment of Awesome Cheese, not to be confused with a moment that is so saccharin it makes you want to hurl). Today I went home for lunch (in 12 degree weather, I know, I'm brilliant), and I decided chili would be an awesome idea. What goes great with chili?? CHEESE. So I dug out my deli-sized slices of Cabot Extra-Sharp Cheddar Cheese that have been, until now, untouched. I didn't have high hopes, 'cause cheddar? In deli slices?? It's probably crap, right? OH SO WRONG. It was PURRRRRRRFECT. I may have sat there, talking to myself about how great it was while munching on said cheese. Yeah. It's THAT GOOD. Slightly crumbly (but not so it falls apart entirely, just bits), not oily AT ALL (but still not overly dry), sharp and tangy, and just still attaining that creamy, cheesey deliciousness. Seriously. PERFECT CHEDDAR SLICES. FOR MY SAMMICHES. I'm in some kind of heaven, y'all.

Oh, the CHEESE.

2. Reason why I went home for lunch? I seriously almost passed out at my desk. Not from exhaustion, like, felt woozy and dizzy and needed fresh (if ice-cube formed) air and a good trot home for some sustenance. It was freaky, y'all. I guess food = great. ...and, to recap? Cabot Cheddar Cheese Deli Slices? MANNA FROM HEAVEN. In little, sandwich-sized slices. Of cheese. Sharp Cheddar. (Can you tell I'm excited?)

3. I ZIPPED for the first time today! I reserved myself a lil' Zipcar (a Prius, go environment), trotted down to the Wild Oats (...when they say Organic, they mean it, jeesh), then to CVS (mmmpreservativeladenchocolate), then to my doctor's appointment. It was AWESOME. Besides the fact that it took me a good fifteen minutes to figure out how to a) take off the parking break, and b) set the thing in reverse (WTF JOYSTICK), it was still fun to drive. It also took another fifteen minutes in the parking lot at CVS to figure out the heat, which was entertaining (HAH, fifteen-degree weather sucks), which wasn't quite as fun, but IT WAS AWESOME to have a car. That I can use. To drive ANYWHERE. And (best part evaaaar) I DON'T PAY FOR GAS. *DOES HAPPY DANCE* Y'all, this shit is awesome.

4. Recap of weekend: on Friday, met up with THE HOTTNESS that is sarcasticpixie, talked and drank until blue and drunk in the face (drunk in the face! hah!). Ran into friends from home, buzuh!? LOVE IT, SOMERVILLE. Everyone loves Redbones. THERE IS A WHEEL OF BEER. RESPECT. Slept off Jack Daniels on Saturday morning, then motored home for maxing and relaxing. Wes and I ordered and ate copious amounts of pizza and fries, and watched Resident Evil: Apocalypse. Also? Zombie movie + dinner = AWESOME. At least, I was entertained. Sunday was WES' 22ND BIRTHDAY, WHOOHOOO!! We grabbed a HUGE breakfast at a local diner (Wes got bacon, ham, corned beef hash, hash browns, and an english muffin. HE HAS TWO HOLLOW LEGS, THIS MAN I LOVE), then came home to witness the Super Bowl of Ridiculous. I had to watch it with my parents, who insisted on MUTING THE WHOLE DAMN THING while playing Trivial Pursuit. DOUBLE-YOU TEE EFF, PARENTS, Y'ALL ARE SILLY. Wes wasn't even on my side in the matter. How am I more interested in ALL SPORTS than both my family and my boyfriend. That's so not right. Returned from expedition to the suburbs yesterday night, snuggled into the dawn.

5. Cabot Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese Deli Slices. Still amazed. May have one for dessert instead of Ben & Jerry's. YES IT IS THAT GOOD.

sports: football, omnom: cheese, wander: zipcar
