From what I've read so far, I feel that your dreamscape is perfectly accurate. However, I have a slightly different view of who Watanuki might be
( ... )
I fail to follow TRC line, so I didn't include facts from it in my assumptions :) And I don't try to think who Watanuki is exactly, but patiently wait for Yuuko to answer.
Everybody make connection with Clow. Watanuki himself resembles Eriol a lot (there were some pictures in early chapters with calm Wata that gave out "eriol-wibes"). I conpletely agree with you about Doumeki and Ko being Wata's guardians and anchors to the mandain world. All this time Yuuko tried to teach Wata that his existence is important. That he has friends that would be said without him, that others are ready to make sacrifises for him, that he should value his own life. Watanuki's choice is going to be vital for everybody... but why? He isn't just a mere creation, that's for sure.
Whats with Shaoran? Can you explain it to me? I've got completely lost with TRC because it progress so slowly and I'm not that interested to reread everything to catch up.
"...I don't try to think who Watanuki is exactly, but patiently wait for Yuuko to answer."
-- Unfortunately, I have no patience what so ever. LOL!
"Everybody make connection with Clow. Watanuki himself resembles Eriol a lot (there were some pictures in early chapters with calm Wata that gave out "eriol-wibes")."
-- That spooky resemblance is exactly where I got the idea that Watanuki has some form of connection to Clow -- and Eriol.
"All this time Yuuko tried to teach Wata that his existence is important. That he has friends that would be sad without him, that others are ready to make sacrifices for him, that he should value his own life..."
-- In the world of Manga, very frequently the reason the hero refuses to give up and die in a battle with what appears to be an overwhelming villain, is because they are fighting to protect their friends and loved ones.

"Watanuki's choice is going to be vital for everybody... but why?"
-- Watanuki's choice clearly has something to do with his particular ability to see -- and ATTRACT spirits. Perhaps his friendship with the vestal sprite, the foxes, and his introduction to the Great Tree from his walk in the demon parade will encourage warriors from the spiritual world to assist in the fight against the nasty sorcerer in Tsubasa?
Something to note... -- Doumeki gave his BLOOD in to assist in saving Watanuki. If Watanuki wasn't completely human, Doumeki's blood would have changed that. Doumeki's blood would also make Watanuki a sort of sibling to Doumeki, and therefore make him a sort of grandson of Haruka.
One thing that I wonder is, does Watanuki continue to project himself after he leaves the shop? I mean we never see him at home. Does he have a home to go to?if not, how can he make lunches for his friends? Does he find a way to buy the ingredients and cook? I just think that if he is projecting himself onto the real world that he won't have any money available, which could explain his school uniform being the only outfit he wears, unless provided one by other people
( ... )
I wonder if maybe his body is real in the real world, but his soul is going back and forth between the two. He doesnt need his body in the dream world and his body would die if his soul permanently goes to the dream world.
I wonder if his body goes about his daily life without him while he's in the dream world? Like he eats and goes to school in kind of a dazed state but his soul isnt there because its in the dream... thats why he doesnt recall any of it?
I'm pretty sure if he gets hurt falling out of a window he's solidly there... I'm just trying to think of any manga examples where someone random from school (not involved in spiritual things) notices or talks to him. There are some in the anime but IDK about the manga...
Hmm, the magical body can be damaged just fine. Himawari is Bad Luck, her touch "eats" your luck=your life. In real people some people have such strong imagination that if they think they are ill they become sick for real. Physical manifistation of thoughts. Watanuki's mind always think of exuses. Like that time when Bone-kun asked him "aren't you lonely?" "Nope, the manager and my neighbors care about me". Himawari's "bad luck" scars Wata's soul somehow (oh his ability to project himself). As a result Watanuki "falls from the window". Remember that scene? It was drawn like somebody pushed the boy out the window. He didn't slip or lose his balance
So just like, you know Matrix style, if you think you're hurt/dead you will be... If you think you're physically okay you would be.
One thing that always bothered me was that when Watanuki fell out of the window no teacher or anyone stopped Doumeki from carrying him away to Yuuko's. You'd think they'd be like "stop! he needs an ambulence!" IDK, I can't wait til they tell us because my head is just full of what ifs and contradictions right now LOL
I've been thinking that Watanuki is himself a gateway. (We can call him liminal boy!) Yuuko uses her magic to enable people and objects to cross dimensions, but Watanuki seems to always have one foot in the physical world and one in the spiritual. And he was able to enter the realm of the dead to save the spirit of the girl under the hydrangea.
I wonder if he was originally just created as a connection, but has grown?
I'm also seeing a parallel between Maru and Moro's sleep being needed to protect the shop and Watnauki's sleep. Is it possible that Watanuki's dreams are helping anchor everyone he's interacted with as the universes get more and more unstable due to Fei Wong Reed's actions?
And I think we can be sure that Watanuki has a soul, at least. He can leave the shop.
Consider this... -- Yuuko told Watanuki, "It might be best if you remained here for the time being."
I suspect that Yuuko is very worried that the universes will soon separate and her shop will lose it's connection to Watanuki's world. If that happened and Watanuki was Not There, she could very will lose him -- leaving him without her direct protection.
I also think she's actually relieved that Doumeki can now enter her shop. This means that if the ties to Watanuki's world breaks, she could take Doumeki too, keeping him at Watanuki's side.
You have a good point kasumi. Yuuko seems to want Watanuki to be with her if anything goes wrong. My thinking is that if there are so many dangers trying to break the shops defense, then how bad must it be for him outside?
If the shop loses it's connection with watanuki's world, it may not be able to forge that connection again. If it was easy, I think Yuuko wouldn't be so worried about keeping the shop in place. So I hope that if the shop loses it's connection, that Doumeki goes with them.
The connection between the two and Sakura has something to do with their birthdays, Yuuko says in the main beginning that if you give a person your name and birthday that person can control you. or at least that's what I think. ^^

According to traditional Buddist belief, people who share birthdays, share a soul.
Something else of note on the Buddist view of the butterfly, Yuuko's and Watanuki's personal symbol. -- Here in the West the butterfly is seen as a carefree creature. In the East, the butterfly means something else entirely. The current Dalai Lama explains that in the East, the butterfly is not seen as than carefree, so much as uncaring.
"The butterfly never meets its mother. It must survive independently and remains a stranger to affection. An animal nurtured by mother's milk, however, is dependent on another for its basic survival. A child who grows up in a cold and detached home environment is similar to the butterfly, in that kindness is sparing. Once an adult, it will be very difficult for that person to show compassion."…"Sparing in their kindness" is exactly how both Yuuko and Watanuki appear
