I keep dreaming of Oregon.
Last night's dream was different, in that I dreamed of how the people there would react when we returned. Normally I just dream of where we'll live, and my mind is filled with images of the mountains behind Talent or the familiar old roads. But last night I dreamed of people.
The truly odd thing?
Aside from our priest, everyone in our dream was an unfamiliar face! Of course, in my dream I knew them. (That's how it goes in dreams.)
I even dreamed up a raw milk delivery guy. His name was Bob Richards. I was so confident in my prowess in converting the masses to drinking raw milk from grass-fed cows that I bragged that I would quadruple his business in a month's time. A part of me wondered if he'd possibly be able to meet the new and growing demand! LOL.
The people -- our friends -- were all quite glad to see us. We realized that rather than time and distance making us grow apart, we'd all been growing towards the same goal. So, the quality of our friendships was as deep as ever, if not more so.
It was hard to wake up.
