A Weekend

We missed Liturgy yesterday morning.  No particular reason.  I think we were all just really tired.  I napped for a good portion of the day and spent the remaining portions yawning.  It looks like today might be pretty similar.  Then again, I haven't taken any of my vitamins -- iron supplements, B vitamins, fish oil, calcium, and prenatals.  If I actually took them, I might feel a bit more energetic.

We spent Saturday at home, mostly lounging around and negotiating some of the finer points on the offer we made on the house, and finally agreed to pay an extra $700 for them to leave several items behind which they had planned on taking with them -- their (working! and VERY NICE!) hot tub, their convection oven and gas range (again VERY NICE and only used a handful of times), and a swing set in good condition.  According to the listing agent, they plan on making these changes to the contract, signing it, and returning it to us so we can initial the changes by today. Once we've got a signed contract, we'll have to hire an appraiser and hope for the best.  The house was recently owner-appraised at $13K more than our offered price.  They're willing to take a hit on the price in order to move quickly, so this really might just be the hand of God leading us.  So, hopefully the new appraisal done by our lender will come in quite strongly in order to ensure this purchase goes through.  If all goes well, we ought to be able to close within 10 to 15 days.

Sometime today I need to go by Goodwill and purchase all kinds of stuff for the home birth -- extra sheets and towels, that sort of thing.  I've got a big list of stuff I was supposed to have on hand last week when I became full-term.  I never used to be a procrastinator, but being a wife and mother has apparently turned me into one.

pregnancy, home buying, birth
