So we walked up to where our guide was standing for the tour. He started giving us an introduction, which was intermitantly disrupted by the mans obnoxious cell phone ringing, 4 times it happend that his phone rang and he excused himself to take the call in the middle of the introduction. We got through it eventully though. I think every tour that sarah and I went on in peru, manchu pecchu, the museum, the amazon tours etc, all of the guides were answering their phones to take a call in the middle of our tour. Anyways, his english was a bit too broken for me to get the whole story right. I got the general idea of how it was discovered and what not. I think I will get a book on the history and read up on it so I can get all of the facts straight.
It took us about 2 hours to go through the whole tour. We saw the sun dial, the homes, the agriculture. the watering system ect. I was just in such awe of the place, I dident pay too much attention. I more or less just tried to touch everything, and get pictures, and admire the natural beauty of the place.
after the tour, sarah and I walked around for about 30 minutes getting more pictures and playing with the llamas, then we headed for the bus to take back down.
We had about and hour and a half to kill before our train left, so we went and got some pizza at one of the cafes, and walked around at all of the little inka shops, I only had 25 soles on me, but i managed to get 3 necklaces with the inca cross on them for justin and I, they were very nice so I was happy with the purchase.
The train ride back was very boring, and to top it all of the bus wasent there when we got off so we had to stand around and wait 20 mintues for the bus to take us back into cusco. I was so knackerd from the day, I got back to our room and hit the hay immediatly.
It was such a grand day regaurdless, It made the trip!
