[Action]

Hiyori is in the Hall of Missing, walking around with something in her hand, before specifically stopping in front of two people's portraits. "Mister Lee, you too? At least you and Tony left together. I hope both of you remember the City and are happy together back in your home world, then." She pauses for a little while longer, and then ( Read more... )

Little-known fact: Clow visits the Hall of the Missing at least once a week. It used to be more frequent before Yue came back, but it's still his secret, guilty vice and... pleasure? Even more secret than scotch at midnight (except when he brings the scotch with him). He prefers to visit at odd hours when there's no one else around so that he can talk to the portraits, his little secret that the doorman hasn't seen fit to divulge.

He's not doing that this time, however - or if he was he stopped before you could even hear Hiyori's footsteps coming down the hall. He doesn't say anything or do anything to aid or impede his being noticed, standing still and quiet as if another one of the portraits on the wall. Like Roxas, he's a bit possessive (and a bit guilty, unlike Roxas), but it's different. He doesn't even know how to react to the idea of someone else being here.

Sorry Clow, but there's no way that you could hide yourself from her no matter what you did. "Ah, Clow-kun?"

"Hiyori-chan." He smiles warmly, at least, on being noticed. "Visiting someone?"

The words come out that way before he even thinks to phrase it differently - because that's really what he thinks of it as, visiting old friends. ♥

She actually relaxes at the question, because she knew it didn't make too much logical sense, her reasons for coming here, but it still made sense to her. "Mm. Yeah. Chikane and Himeko-chan left before I could give them her request. So, I decided to give it to them now."

Alright, so even though it felt right, it still sounded really silly.

Oh, but he thinks it's just adorable.

"That makes sense. Although, I might've held onto it - there's always a chance that they might come back."

"Mm. If they come back, I can always draw them something new. Plus, I don't think that one's going anywhere." What would happen if they did come back, though? If they didn't remember anything- if they didn't remember anything now back home, well, she couldn't really start thinking like that, could she.

"That's true." Clow asked himself those sorts of questions all too often, but usually in the future-tense. Ironically, Hiyori is one of the people he used to ask them about.

"Mm." Of course Clow understood, though, even if they had just met, that's the sort of thing he would understand, plus; it was Clow. "Ah, Clow-kun, why are you here?

He was afraid she'd ask that, but not too afraid. Thoughtfully glancing down the hall before he speaks, his eyes falling on portraits of Cerberus, Greed, Abel Nightroad, he replies, "I'm just nostalgic, I suppose."

His eyes linger there for just a bit too long.

She notices this, mostly because she's also looking at all the pictures on the walls. Some of them are really sad to look at. Especially in cases like Greed's, where she knew what would happen, and it wasn't too nice to think about.

In some ways, this place was a graveyard. "Mm, yeah. A lot of people have left, haven't they."

"Mm." Clow tears his eyes away from the pictures and looks as though he wants to leave. It's time to spend some time with the people who are still here, without worrying that they won't be soon. "And all at once, it seems."

Unfortunately, as she's still looking around, she is less liable to notice this. Not that she's all that observant usually. "Yeah. A lot of people come into the City at a time, too, though."

Clow makes a sound of agreement and starts passive-aggressively heading for the exit. "Kind of like how a lot of people have spring birthdays and winter funerals."

Yes, the similarities between this place and a graveyard and between leaving the City and death have not escaped him.

"Yeah, although it's not seasonal for the citizens. It's just . . . at random." She is more than willing to start leaving. It was going to get really depressing being in here really soon.

"On the contrary, I think I recall there being an influx of new people in late spring." He's glad that she's taking the hint, and he'll even manufacture a change of subject to keep the conversation from getting too depressing. Unfortunately, he's not quite sure what to change it to.

"We should go somewhere."

Were there? She didn't really pay attention to numbers too much. "Ah, I had just gotten here, myself, so I didn't really notice."

Eh? He wanted to go somewhere? It's not like he was planning on that from the start, right? He seemed to have come up with that just now, it was clearly a change of subject.

She was okay with that. "Mm, any place in particular you think we should go?"
