Well, it's the most wonderful time of the year! And by that I mean I'm packing my bags-and my narcotics- for the 12 hour flight back home.
Japan! Here I cooooome! I'm gonna eat EVERYTHING. I don't really plan on buying a bunch of crap while I'm there since I'm hoping I'll be back there semi-permanently in 6 months. Just a few albums, a couple things I know they'll be selling at Meiji Jingu for the new year, and maybe...just maybe...a few clothing items. But only if they really fit.
I am so excited!
Secondly, I have a new set of wheels.
It's a 2005 Ford Focus which , coincidentally, is the exact same make and model car my mom drives, except this is an automatic. I really, really had my heart set on a Honda Civic but each one I drove or looked at had something wrong with it or was out of my price range. So, here we are.
She doesn't have a name yet, but I think
this sticker might helpful.
Third, I have a beautiful spring semester: Tuesday/Thursday classes, from 10 am to 3 pm. Which brings me to my New Year's Resolutions. I am dead set on growing a spring garden! I have no idea where this little flash of domesticity came from, but I'll go with it.
I want to try growing: Spinach and/or a lettuce, carrots, peas and...? Anyone have any suggestions? I like pretty much everything. My mom will probably plant a tomato bush and a couple of squash plants- which will multiply and produce more veggies than consumable.
Anyway, I wish everyone a beautiful and safe New Year!
