D'aaaaaw, Ryouta is pretty freaking awesome. He sent me a late V-day gift- which was an enormous Gloomy Bear pillow to add to my gloomy collection, some Pure gummies, and a sweet, Engrish filled note. I didn't expect him to send me anything so I was super stoked.

Recently, I haven't been able to stop thinking about a book that I read over winter break. It's called "The Shadow of the Wind" and is a translated Spanish novel that absolutely sucked me in from page one. When Ryouta and I would come back home in the evenings, the first thing I would do would be to sneak into my room (or crash on the hotel bed) and start reading- much to his dismay. But I couldn't help it! there was just something about it that made me want to keep reading and now that I've finished it, I STILL think about how amazing it was. What a great feeling.

Also, my coworker and I were talking today and she made a proposition: If I act as tour guide to her 15 year old daughter for 8-10 days, she will pay for my hotel and flight to Japan. It's cheaper, in the long run, for her to pay for just 2 people instead of for herself and her whole family. And her daughter is...dead set on wanting to see Japan one day. And heck, if my lodging and flight are taken care of, I wouldn't mind at all!

Of course, this wouldn't be happening until next Spring (2011) which would mean: New Year+ Spring+ Graduation= OMG 3 trips to Japan within 6 months? AWESOME.

Anyway, time to go be lame and study Kanji
