Passion
An important lesson I remembered today is that life should be lived to the fullest, with passion.
WITH PASSION.
Do you know what your passion in life is? What drives you to get up in the morning? What is the one thing you look for in the darkest of days?
For me, it's the people I come in contact with throughout my life. Finding those things in people where others don't often look, or even want to acknowledge in others, because they are too worried about self.
My passion? Finding the love for every person I come in contact with. Finding the love despite all the horrible things in this world. Yes, I make racist jokes, I make cruel cracks, but it is never with intention. My intention is to take the sting out of these harmful words, to take the shittiest term out there... "Politically Correct" and fling mud on it.
For the deep down moments of each day, or the moments when I am out and about... "lostinthestreet" .... alone in the city, where I run into random people is where I portray the love of others the most. When I help a woman up the stairs at QFC, or when I pick up the bag someone drops on the street because their hand is full. When a friend is in need of a hug, a smile, a shoulder to lean on.... those are the moments I shine. Not for the pat on the back, or the hope of karmatic return, but because it's the right way to live. Because in the end, it's better to be good than horrible.
I ask of one thing of people when they know me, share your passion in life with others around you. There is enough greed of non-sensical things in this world, and not enough love for the people who share this limited space with us.
Think about what your passion is. When you get up tomorrow, or the next day, or the day after, share that passion with someone.... anyone. Know that the world can be the brightest place you have ever imagined, or the darkest hole you've ever seen. I know this, because I've been to both. Make what you can of this world, and share the passion you have with those around you.
