I dislike how Alias ended at least for Jack, so hence except for the few things I have done with him that were canon, from here out .. are AU, because there’s only so much you can do with sand and sloane
Jack doesn’t remember Sydney being so small, so helpless as Isabelle does whenever he holds her. Maybe it is the passage of time and all the events that had led them to her, maybe it was how and where she was born. But Jack thinks with a little bit of fatherly pride that the little girl’s mother was tougher as an infant.
He wishes for Isabelle nothing but peace and calm. Things that he had wished for Sydney herself so long ago, and sadly she never truly had.
Jack thinks of fragile not in the obvious clichés, but more in the way that the infant’s neck leads into the curve of her skull, how her little fingers wrap around his and how her little head fits into the crook of his hand.
The only thing that isn’t fragile is how much he loves the little girl and how he arranges protection for her in a way he never did for Sydney.
Another example of how he has learnt from the past.
