Sick little boy
Gabriel woke up this morning complaining of a stomach ache. He didn't feel like eating anything... I said a prayer aloud for him and gave him some pepto to help his stomach. After a little while he told me that his tummy still hurt and he wanted me to say the prayer again. :) So I did, and then I noticed him starting to get a fever and I gave him some children's ibuprofen. We watched Bambi together with Michael and he seemed to be doing better. Tim's parents called and were going to take the boys to a park to feed the ducks, but they ended up just taking Michael.
I dropped Michael off at their house (5 mins away) and by the time I got back, Gabriel had fallen asleep in his bed. Poor guy slept almost 3 hours. He seemed to be feeling better, but now his fever is back. I tried taking his temperature. First reading I got was 102.9. Even though it's midnight, we decided to give him a warm bath and some more ibuprofen.
After the bath and brushing his teeth (he insisted!) he says he feels better, but he still wants to sleep in the big bed with mommy. Tim's gone to do his paper deliveries for the newspaper...he won't be back until morning.
Hopefully we'll get some sleep tonight. I'd appreciate your prayers for Gabriel! And hopefully this thing won't spread to the rest of us.
