Thank you all for the congratulations this weekend, and the birthday wishes. It's been...quite a week. I now have the "locker room" t-shirt, an "I Was On Franklin Street" t-shirt and a national champions hoodie. Oh, and Rich got me a National Champions shot glass for my birthday. So yeah.
My mother and brothers came down yesterday for my birthday. I worked 'til 4, then met up with them and we went to the mall. I got a Cubbies hat and some Gap clothes for my present, then we went to Champps to eat...and my stepmom and sister met us there! They totally drove up as a surprise. We're all psycho when we're together, so it was a lot of fun. We went back to their hotel and hung out until midnight than had a ceremonial first beer at midnight at the hotel bar. Today we went to Crook's Corner for brunch, then hit Franklin Street for t-shirt shopping (everybody got one, and Grace got a hat, and Sid had to buy for half the Atlanta neighborhood). Then to THE APPLE STORE where I got a BLUE iPOD MINI FOR MY BIRTHDAY.
It is pretty.
It's name is Chipper.
John Smoltz had 15 strikeouts today and will get the loss. That...really sucks.
