Happy New Year!!
Happy New Year! Welcome to 2025! ...I say, as if I am somehow the 2025 welcoming committee. As if time could and would choose a mere mortal to welcome everyone else to a new demarcation of itself. As if time even cared about our arbitrary measurements of it.
Wow, I didn't mean to sound cynical at the beginning of the year. I mean it facetiously. Anyway, it's gotten off to a pretty okay start for us, except for one little hiccup. Our bishop wants to encourage our whole ward to have a positive outlook and focus on the good in our lives, which of course is an idea that I love, but to help us do that, he invited everyone to post one thing they're grateful for on any forum every day for the whole year. We live in a cave, so we don't have a whole lot of forums except for the Social Media (dun dun DUN!), which we don't often post to (as anyone who follows us on social media will know), because for some reason it's kind of terrifying.
So that added a bit of stress, but other than that, things are pretty good. Since it's a holiday, we took it easy, watched a bunch of tv, played some Theatrhythm. And we did some deliberating on another New Year's resolution that I had forgotten about when I was posting about them two days ago. We've had a little more free time lately, so we decided it's time to start reading manga for fun again. But we've fallen so far behind on our manga reading, that we had absolutely no idea where to start, so we had to take some time to figure that out. Now we have, and we're going to start reading Skip Beat and Tenshi 1/2 Houteishiki, both from the very beginning. Skip Beat is going to be a bit of an undertaking. XD (And now our manga reading buddy lyschan is tempting us to add another series to the list... There aren't enough hours in the day!)
But the main reason 2025 has gotten off to a really good start is that we finally have air dates for the premiere of Miraculous Season Six! Woohooooooooo!!!! I don't know how many episodes are going to be featured in this premiere, but it's going to be on January 25, which coincidentally is the day I think they said six planets would align? I think seven are supposed to align at some point... Okay, I just looked it up, and major planets are going to align this month, but I can't get any confirmation on it being on the 25th, so never mind that. It will be a full moon that night, though, for whatever that's worth.
The important thing! is that once Miraculous Season Six starts playing on the Disney Channel, it's only a matter of time before those episodes go up on Disney+, and that means hopefully we'll get to see some of it in, like, March. It still feels forever away, but we have a lot of stuff to keep us occupied in the meantime.
Today I'm thankful for a promising start to the year (at least as far as Miraculous is concerned XD), getting to revisit some manga that we love, getting to take it easy today, our Tower of Terror call bell, and the brownies we made yesterday turning out pretty good.
