Today was full of teeny tiny events, like submitting a maintenance request for our garbage disposal and having the maintenance guy come in, take a look at it, and say, "I'm ordering a new one. It'll be here on Thursday." That's just in time for us to be away visiting family, because our niece and nephew are going to be background characters in their school play. (It's actually good timing, because we trust our maintenance guys, and we'd rather be out of the way.)
Speaking of going away, I suppose it's about time I gave an update on our Paris plans...but the plans are moving very slowly. See, since we had been planning to go with Cecille before, we didn't want to leave her out this time, either, so we asked her if she wanted to come with us in September, and she gave us a distinct maybe. She has tentative plans to go to Japan with another friend so they can both see the new stuff that's opening at DisneySea, and she can only afford one trip abroad. She told us she was waiting to hear back about that, and when she does she'll let us know. She also invited us to go along! And we might, but we're definitely going to Paris.
Anyway, the point is, as usual, our plans are in limbo. We'll be poking Cecille soon to see if she's heard anything, but in the meantime, we're dealing with garbage disposals and visits to family.
Today I'm thankful for getting our work done, having plans to see Gilderoy and Rosetta in a play, the hope of having a working garbage disposal by the time we get back from visiting family, managing to stay awake while we watched Demon Slayer, and it being time to go to sleep.
