You'll be relieved to know that just a few minutes ago, after working on the series for almost five years, it has occurred to the official English translators of Edens Zero (that's us) that the B in B-Cube might just stand for ビデオ, which is how the Japanese write the word "bideo," which is the most common way to represent the Latin, and subsequently English, word "video." That's right. It's been a V-Cube all along. ...I mean, maybe. We never thought to ask, so we don't know. That B could literally stand for anything that starts with a B. Or a V.
Anyway, we're very sorry for not doing our due diligence. In our defense, it's not a ビー・キューブ, it's a B・キューブ. The letter B was right there the whole time, funneling our minds into assuming that it was supposed to be a B. And maybe it was! It could stand for "beauty" or "be yourself" or "be a star!" or "brand name" or "Bluegarden" or...the list goes on and on. Also, if it were V-Cube, it would sound more like it's related VTubers specifically, and VTubers are only a specific subset of YouTubers.
...Now I really am curious (and afraid) to know what that B is supposed to stand for.
Anyway. Work went well today. We think we're going to survive! ...But we're still not out of the woods yet. We managed to turn in the translation that was due today, and one of the translations that's due tomorrow. Now we just have the other one that's due tomorrow, but that one tends to be a little more involved, so we don't know if we can reasonably expect to get it done without working late. But we should be able to finish it tomorrow! ...or Saturday... and then we only have two books due next week!
Today I'm thankful for getting our work quota done today, getting to take home some cupcakes from the youth activity, having time to search for more stakes in Pokemon (we just have one ruinous Pokemon left to unlock!), only having one book to work on tomorrow, and not passing out while we learned about first aid at the youth activity.
