Vague-blogging
Today was a pretty normal day. There was some drama that we're only tangentially involved in, so I'm not going to talk about it here for the sake of the innocent(?), but it does make me wonder sometimes if the people who inconvenience lots of other people for the sake of their own convenience realize that they're creating a certain reputation for themselves. ...I guess either they don't realize, or they don't care, or else they would be more considerate. Personally, I think we should be considerate of others because we care about people, but "not wanting to look bad" might be a good baby step towards that. I don't know.
We also started on a new series! It hasn't been announced yet, I think, so I can't really talk about that, either. All this vague-blogging is driving me nuts, too. But since I did talk about something we were working on last week, and how we seem to be incapable of liking things... I've been thinking about that. Back when we were in college, there were some people who never liked anything at all, and we were convinced it was just because it wasn't cool to like things, and we found it very annoying. And now here we are, constantly not liking things. I've become what I hate! ...Only I don't think so... But it does make me want to give more things the benefit of the doubt...or something like it. And in fact, when I set my biases aside, I do think the Evil Secret Society of Cats is quite cute.
Anyway. We do actually like things, too. In fact, we like the majority of the series we work on quite a lot. We like Noragami and Hanako and...what else do we work on? For some reason I always blank on this question. Edens Zero! We like that one a lot, too. Doomsday with My Dog! That's a great one. And of course, there's Miraculous now, which makes us very very very happy. (Oh yeah, and Kingdom Hearts...we like that one...but it's complicated.)
Today I'm thankful for being fans of most of the things we translate, beating the Quaking Earth Titan Pokemon, getting to start on a cute new series, making very good progress at work today, and having lots of time for video games.
