Pacing ourselves
The rush translation continues to go quickly. In fact, we probably could have finished it today, but we're going through a phase where we're absolutely refusing to push ourselves more than we feel is necessary...and what we feel is necessary is not very much. But we did work until almost our usual quitting time. We would have had to work past it to finish, and we had plans this evening.
Anyway. We're still on track to finish tomorrow, and when we told them we couldn't guarantee it until Monday, they said that would be fine. So here we are.
Seriously, though, we're really wanting a vacation. Not just a day off here and there, but, like, an extended break, where we don't have any responsibilities or obligations, and we can just relax and do stuff that makes us happy. ...I mean, I do enjoy the series that we work on. But work is still work. There's really a lot to be said for not having to do something. And there's also a lot to be said for being able to pay the bills. Maybe one day we'll strike the right balance.
Today I'm thankful for work going well, having a little time to snap Pokemons, getting to chat with Mom and Steve, making it safely to and from the Young Women's activity, and having time after the activity to watch some Kid Cosmic.
