Fortunately, the rush translation is shaping up to go fairly quickly. We finished the first draft with lots of extra time! Which is good, because we also had a trip to Target planned, and a rehearsal for...a...thing...
See, another ward in our stake is having a Valentine's dinner thing, and they wanted live music, so they asked our friend who writes songs and has a band and stuff. And he had an idea to do the song he performed at our ward's Christmas program, but he needed a pianist for that one, and so he asked me. And then one of the other guys he asked to sing dropped out, and he didn't want to do all the singing, so he asked me to play more things on the piano...which I'm not sure is going to be the best thing, but I'll try. Anyway, we rehearsed the one song today.
Unfortunately, since I tend to just play the piano for fun, most of the more Valentine's appropriate songs I have sheet music for are ones that I haven't practiced enough that I feel comfortable performing them. I think I can get them to where they're not the worst thing to listen to, though...maybe...and then I'll just keep reminding myself that everyone will be talking and eating anyway, so they won't really be listening. Yeah.
Today I'm thankful for the first draft of the rush job going quickly, getting to go to Target, just barely being able to put off doing laundry so we didn't have to do it today, having a good amount of time for Pokemon Legends even with the extra stuff, and Grawp's favorite villager moving onto our island in Animal Crossing.
