XOMG - Futurama = Farscape!
I rewatched the pilot of Futurama this morning and maybe it was the lack of decent sleep, maybe it's my still-lingering Farscape obsession, but dag nabbit these shows are identical! See, I have proof!
Exhibit A:
Hapless 21th century human ends up in a world of space ships and aliens. He adjusts.
Exhibit B:
Hapless human finds his dream girl, who kicks ass, quits her day-job out of solidarity and knows how to work a tank top....
Exhibit C:
... and he also finds a new best friend with Hulk-like strength and serious anger management issues.
Exhibit D:
They all take off in a cool ride...
Exhibit E:
... with an old guy who comes with the ship and a slightly disgusting tag-along that no one really likes all that much.
Seeeee? I tolds ya! EERIE SIMILARITIES ARE EERIE! There are probably more similarities (Brannigan = Crais? Nibbler = 1812?), but I'm too tired to figure out if Amy is Zhaan, Sikozu or Jool and if Hermes is at all represented on Farscape. Or vice versa. Or something. I need a nap. Seriously, I did not sleep well. x_x
