Haha, this show. I was kind of hoping they would go the super-unexpected route and NOT have the utopia be a lie built on blood and evil, and instead have Rick's group come into it and just fuck it all up like they do with everything because that would have tickled me silly, but I guess they felt they already played that card last season so ... whatevs, this is fine. Predictable but fine, although I will admit my predictions did in fact not include fishtanks with decapitated heads. XD Also, as a review pointed out to me because I'm slow, this way is interesting as the Governor is basically = Rick, only with a fancy town and a room full of head aquariums, or atleast not very far from it. Then again, this would have been so much MORE interesting if Rick had been any sort of an interesting or likable character at any time during the last 2 seasons.
Anyway, in light of these new developements:
Andrea: NOPE, YOU STILL SUCK.
Michonne: You're my new favorite, I want to know everything about you and how you came to be such an awesome badass lady, but first plx ditch Andrea and GET THE FUCK ON UP OUTTA THERE.
Merle: You still suck and are horrible but I like your Captain Hook, Zombie Apocalypse-style hand.
Also: people catching up about stuff that happened in a "oh yeah, this person and this person died and then this happened" kind of amuses me, for some reason, although it made me super-sad that Andrea couldn't include the bits about Shane and how Rick is now the Ricktator 2000 who chops limbs off himself without a moment's thought rather than make people do it themselves. I really look forward to Merle and Hershel swapping amputee-stories, is all I'm saying, I feel like that would be a wonderfully awkward conversation for Rick to be in the middle of.
Also, as I excitedly informed Tim earlier, I've realized that Merle reminds me of Francis from L4D, and also, if you mix up Darryl and Glenn, you'd totally get Ellis. Add to that Michonne's katana, the season premiere of zombies wearing armor and the totally L4D-esque prison-setting and, while the show still has it's flaws (like an appalling lack of zombie clowns, chainsaws and grenade launchers), it is probably as close as we'll ever get to a L4D TV shownd almost maybe even acceptably close. Just saying, if s4 = the gang holds up at a Six Flags then I will happily shut up about a L4D show/movie forever.
