Yesss let’s talk Bunheads. I actually felt like the back-and-forth Gilmoresque dialogue had been dialed down quite a bit! It seemed like everyone was mostly talking to and not at each other. It’s also entirely possible that my tolerance for crazy has just gotten really, really high.

I agree that Sutton Foster is fabulous and killing it with the snark. Probably she’s part of the reason why all of the super talky scenes don’t bother me too much--her delivery is so interesting to watch. Same with Fanny. I liked seeing them on the same side in this latest episode, roadtripping to Oxnard to find a floor guy and re-dressing Boo for her auditions.

Really? I thought it was more dialed up than before this episode! Maybe I imagined it. *Shrug*

Yeah they would bother me a whole lot more if she wasn't excellent, and most of the time I do find them enjoyable. It's only when they spiral off into some crazy, super-meaningless back-and-forth that I get a little impatient, and it doesn't happen THAT often. And yeah, her and Fanny on the same side = LOVE. I'm a little bit worried the show will keep them at odds too much because that's the dynamic they've set up for them, but I hope they keep finding this balance of them butting heads and then being awesome together and enjoying each others company.

I’m sure you didn’t imagine it! Like I said, I’m just accustomed to crazy and also, I’m way more likely to remember what I liked about something than what I didn’t. I think you’re right that they’re going to keep Michelle and Fanny at odds for the most part, so hopefully their banter is enjoyable more often than it is annoying.

Also: it’s amazing that Sutton’s snarking reminds you of Jaye-from-Wonderfalls’ older sister! I’ve somehow still not seen that show, but I’ve seen that actress elsewhere, and totally see it. Funny that they’re both hilarious ladies who can sing their faces off.

This is the latest jumping-in comment ever, but where have you seen Caroline Dhavernas sing?

Ugh sorry, looking back, I was super unclear in that last comment: I haven’t seen Caroline Dhavernas sing anywhere. I was talking about Katie Finneran, the older sister on Wonderfalls. I saw KF killing it in Promises, Promises a few years ago.
