So you know that myth about worrying giving you grey hair? Turns out, not a myth, although I'd say it's more white than grey. Cannot ignore all the stark white strands that keep popping up anymore, I'm going white-haired, people! Like an old lady! At 27! Everyone, if you want to keep your hair color: STOP WORRYING RIGHT NOW. It's too late for me, but you can still save yourselves!
Anyway. Sup? Usual weirdness and crapness and whatnots, although if possible I've been feeling even more weird and crap and whatnot than usual. But I think I say that every other month, so ignore me. Been trying to get to bed earlier, which means cutting down on LJ and avoiding it before bed, but I'm making an exception tonight to catch up on some TV and hoping I won't get stuck here too long. Just tell me to shut up and go to bed if I start rambling, k?
Game of Thrones: Ugh, watching this show is EXHAUSTING. I know it's probably good because it means I care about the characters, but in a show where really ANYTHING can happen I really dunno if that's such a good thing. Anyway, here's the usual round of invisible hats to the awesome people:
Arya = still awesome and badass and clever (bit too clever, sometimes!) and I love her and Tywin's (look, I learned his name!) weird conversations.
Tyrion = gets several cookies for trying to find Sansa, even if it was probably 99.9% evil calculation rather than actual concern for the safety of a child. Obviously even more cookies to The Hound (I think his name is?) for actually finding and rescuing her.
Whoever threw that cowpat at Joffrey = gets all the cookies and the internets. Well done, sir or m'am!
Daenerys = is still awesome and lovely and all, but seriously needs to develop a war strategy that doesn't sound like she got it from Sansa. Actually, Sansa could probably come up with better at this point, I think her days of "if I wish it it will come true!" are over.
Castle: I wish I had something to say about this episode, what with The Hook-Up and all, but I've never been all that much of a C/B-shipper. Still, I appretiate a good hook-up when I see one, and this one was atleast well-timed and well set up. 4 seasons is an excellent span for a WTOWT couple, they didn't screw the fans out of the big moment (Bones-style), and from glancing at some interview titles it sounds like they're gonna keep it up in s5. A+ and gold stars all around.
2 Broke Girls: Daaaaamn, Max in that dress. So freaking hot! Glad they wrapped things up with Johnny without leaving any real doors open, it's probably best since I think the actors are dating and he was already a bit of a putz anyway. Max deserves waaaaaaaay better. The rest of it, meh, it was okay. I liked Chesnut coming back, and them riding him to the party, and that Max had to promise to babysit for Peaches to make it happen so we can maybe get to see her again. Also Han being too short to be a jockey... Hee. Poor little dude.
Hart of Dixie: Ugh. Just ... ugh. I think at this point I'm going to bed mostly relieved if it's cancelled, atleast that'll mean no more cringy scenes where Zoe tries to Be Professional or Wade is a rambling idiot. >_< Also lol, I see her dad was off to shoot The Good Wife after this episode, what with the mustache and all.
Cougar Town: Yay! They are TOTALLY setting Travis and Laurie up! :D I mean, it's been obvious for some time now (ages, one could argue), but I feel like this is by far the most outright and upfront they've been about it. And Jules gave her blessing, more or less! Awww! Not gonna lie, I'll be pretty crushed if this show is cancelled (either way!) and this season doesn't end with Travis and Laurie hooking up. Like, I'd be fine with them dragging it out a little more (to season 4, anyway), but not now when the show is hanging by a very loose thread. Atleast there were some nice rumbling about it moving to TBS (whatever the hell that is), if ABC drops it, so I'm sucking on that bit of hope like it's the cork from a wine bottle. Please don't leave me, Cougar Town. I LOVE YOU.
(Yay, Community-reference in the credits! The Cougarmunity love story continues! <3)
New Girl: Aside from Nick's final change of heart being a bit weird/random (what caused it, exactly?), this was good! Really good! That sounds weak, but I really did like it. I like that they're not hooking Nick and Jess up yet, but clearly throwing all sorts of signs spelling out that "THEY WILL, DON'T WORRY, THEY TOTALLY WILL". I think my favorite bit, well, second favorite bit, was them bringing the landlord back for a cameo, I loved that guy/episode. Favorite bit, obviously, was Jess going "meep meep!" at the coyote which just got funnier every time she did it. And then Nick apologizing to it, like a dork.
NCIS:LA: I had my expectations set pretty low for this episode, after reading it would involve my favorite trope of all the tropes, and it did not disappoint in disappointing me. It was good, just ... could have been better? IDK, I am delighted that this episode exists, but maybe because I know NCIS-shows are always big teasers that never actually deliver I wanted a bit more bang for my buck where I could get it. I mean, Tony and Ziva got a simulated sex scene, for crying out loud! I'm willing to bet they still have shippers even after 5 seasons of basically crapall shipper scenes, just because of that one episode. But yeah, no, I'm happy they did this, there was atleast an actual kiss, I will shut up and be happy.
Speaking of shutting up, I will do that and go to bed, because it's 2.59 and no one has stopped my rambling yet. *Glares at you all.*
