lukewarming
Last night I had some friends over for a house lukewarming party... I refuse to have a house warming until my table arrives, and it has yet to arrive... but I've been living there almost 2 months, time to do some entertaining! ;)
Was a good mix of people - classmates, workmates, non-OVC people, someone I'd never met before - and we had delicious "hint of lime" corn chips and Erica made some super delicious taco dip. There were left overs, which I have here with me at work. Mmmm... taco diiiiiiiip.
Anyhow, good times, good conversations, and as always good entertainment courtesy my crazy jumping cat ;D
Been a really social week, actually... went to Marcedes' potluck on Wednesday, Jackie's Disney themed birthday party on Thursday (yes, this was my grown up, turning 25 yeas old, friend... she loves theme parties and disney, so why not??), Taryn & Ann's birthday celebrations on Friday, my gathering Saturday... and tonight I might be heading to Shake's for karaoke?!
I'm almost glad I'm working until late late tomorrow, so I can't go to the bring-your-dogs-along BBQ happening tomorrow - looking forward to just chillin' on my own for a night!
Actually.. I think next week is pretty devoid of plans... so I can get back to unpacking and such ;) (yes, still working on the unpacking thing..)
in other news, Janessa got an interview at OVC!! I'm super excited :) (well, I was already excited because so far I'd only heard "i got an interview!" from people I know who applied this year... but I couldn't be *super* excited until I knew whether Janessa did!!) Now I'm going to get all super nervous again when the decisions go out... I just can't imagine her *not* getting in!
