Huh...
Have I really not posted since July 19th? Crazy... I blame the crazy heat for causing my brain to melt and leak out my ears ;P
Been busy.. the week of July 21st-28th I was housesitting for Adam and looking after his 4 cats... the cats are cute, the basement apartment is air conditioned, it was a good time! ;) It's too bad I had to return to my not at all air conditioned house just in time for the HOTTEST DAYS EVER. yuck.
Been trying to get my house clean/in order for september (I like to start the school year with a clean house, since keeping the house clean becomes a low priority pretty quick ;) ) and it's slow going. This is why I start a month in advance ;P
There's been some fun times... on the 21st I went to the ebar with the gang of students from work. Had an awesomely fun time :) Met a guy... had lunch with him a couple times the following week, and went out for dinner & ice cream last Sunday... but that's done now ;P The more I got to know him, the less I liked about him. And he's deathly allergic to cats. Clearly, no meant to be.
That weekend (of the 21st) my dad & penny were in Guelph. Did some serious hardcore grocery shopping (they have gluten free blueberry waffles at zher's! i've been craving waffles all summer! this was AWESOME!), and some serious hardcore Winner's shopping (I got 2 new pairs of shoes, 3 skirts, a jacket, 3 tops, and some light cotton pants - perfect for biking to work in the afternoons!) Oh, and on the friday, since I was on the late shift and had time to kill during the day, I went to the mall to pick up stuff for my final SP8 package, and went to Old Navy and got a bunch of stuff there... so it was a weekend of much new clothes XD (it helps make me excited for september, so i can start wearing all these clothes for more then just a bike ride to work, where I then change into scrubs ;) ) At Old Navy I got some super comfy denim capris, a skirt, 2 blouses, 3 tank tops, and 2 tshirty wrap things. Oh, and socks. Which was the reason I went in there: socks & shorts. (I didn't find any shorts. I generall hate shorts. I love the one pair I have, and wish I could just go back in time and buy like 10 pairs of them so i'd never have to try to buy shorts again..)
Aaanyhow. I went and saw Clerks II with the Julia & Margaret (students I work with in the wards), and I *loved* it. I haven't laughed that hard in quite some time!! I also have gone to see Miami Vice, with Christy, Neil & Allison. No love there :P It wasn't *bad*, but I'd be happy never to have to sit through it again ;P Part of the plot really pissed me off, and it felt a bit to long, and the acting was flat... but then, action is not my favourite genre to begin with so... *shrug*
I continue to watch Canadian Idol and vote for Rob James whenever I'm home to watch it live. I've become completely addicted to So You Think You Can Dance, and am rooting hardcore for Benji to win. And I've started watching Project Runway as well, because the diva-esque attitudes makes me laugh.
Work has been both busy busy busy...and painfully slow. Been some cute critters (wee baby baby kittens! *squee*), and some "i'm so mean, do not touch me" critters, and everything in between. I've definitely really enjoyed my job this summer :) This week should be a good one.. besides being a short week due to the holiday monday... on friday there's a brownie bake off! I drool now just to think of it... *drool*
I guess that's about it, really. I didn't bring any knitting with me while I was housesitting for Adam, and it's been so frackin' hot this past week... not much to report there. I am on the 2nd sock of my second pair of socks, though! XD
Oh, and being the complete moron I can be at times.. after KILLING myself trying to get my dad's sweater done and done by the time he visited, what did I do? COMPLETELY forgot to give it to him! gyah... iiiiiiiiidiot....
