I was finally able to get enough free time to clean up five tons worth of fabric, dog hair and beer bottles.
That which does not kill you makes you far more skilled in the world of costume construction.
Along with this webseries, I also had an interview tonight for a short film that not only appears kind of fun, they'll actually pay me. It's not a lot, but it would be a huge start if I started getting paid for my services.
The interview was at a coffee house, and the producers and director had sent me an email saying "We're doing interviews between the hours of 6 and 9". Like when I was in high school and every Saturday from 10 to 1, Dion's Pizza place would hold interviews due to it's drastically high turn-over rate. (I didn't get the job at Dions. It went to a home schooled girl with the "I love Jesus" lanyard)
So of COURSE this means that I show up while they're interviewing someone else and I have to sit in the corner and pretend to not think this is weird and think that SHE was smart and printed out a copy of the script, but I printed out concept images and brought my portfolio.
I really have no idea if I got the job or not, because I didn't get to see everyone else they interviewed and assess my chances, BUT I felt that I'd come prepaired, made a good concetion with everyone I talked to, had some ideas that they really liked, and I never once fell into that "oh shit. I wasn't prepaired for this question" trap.
We were suppose to film this webseries tomorrow, but we pushed it back to Sunday, so I'm gonna spend tomorrow doing laundry, finishing up this Goomba puppet and finishing
spacetart's Rasputin costume.
My neighbor also asked if I'd hem her skirt for her, and I have agreed to do so because she might get me a job in the porn industry.
