The slowdowns from DDOS attacks I understand...but honestly, LJ, this is just silly.
If you dislike the *ahem* improved comment pages, and want comment pages to be in your own style, go to journal/journal style/customize/customize your theme. Scroll down to find "disable customized comment pages for your journal" and set it to NO.
Go to profile/settings and click on the display tab. Check off "view all journals and communities in my own style."
I'm @ AO3 and dreamwidth as dotfic. Also @ tumblr as dotthings.
I was already pondering fannish platforms for 2012 and what I'd use for what and where I'd be, even without LJ's strange definition of improvements. The way things have gone for me in the past year, no one platform keeps me in contact with all the things relevant to my fannish interests. Not planning to leave LJ, I'll read my flist and read fic here. Likely won't be posting as much except for fic or picspams.
I'm 1 1/2 years' worth of fic from my AO3 archive being complete (go me!) and that will probably become my main archive of fic with LJ/DW as the backup archive (which doesn't mean much change for my LJ flist, but I am thinking of crossposting to AO3 instead of just LJ at comms).
livejournal,
huh?,
