Yes! I am feeling a bit befuddled, the show is being kind of uneven -- we have nothing to show how we got from 5x12 to how they are here BUT I DON'T EVEN CARE! Because this was my Sam and Dean. *smishes them* And Dean with the FIX HIM. He didn't even hesitate.
The not watching live will probably have to continue -- my Fridays are too crazed to deal with either the meh letdown or the OMG CAPSLOCKING mood...but I'm immensely relieved. I'm not ready to leave the show behind yet and wow, this ep demonstrated how much I still love these characters, big time.
On the one hand...I'm ridiculously easy and my expecations were low, but on the other hand, given my issues with the show lately, they did have to hit it out of the park for me, and I thought it was a strong episode, even when I step back and try to be detached and all critical, it looks strong (with some issues, but mostly a win).
Which Abandon All Hope was too...I think this ep bolstered me so I can rewatch that. Because I did love things about that ep and Jo and Ellen were gloriously heartbreaking, even if I ranted a lot. Gah, show.
