Festivids

See, I had this PLAN, and started my Band of Brothers rewatch (the DVD's arrived, in a tin. A shiny tin!) and am 2 eps in so far, and can confirm that yep, it really is that good (and even better on a rewatch as the characters become more familiar and now that I know more who everyone is).

And then people of the vidder persuasion on my flist kept talking about this festivids thing, and I clicked on the master list of vids. I have stuff to get done this weekend! Stuff! And BoB to rewatch and I'm two episodes behind on Friday Night Lights. *flails feebly*

First, a few quick festivid recs:

White Collar -- Let's Misbehave is the PERFECT White Collar vid.
Leverage -- In the Ayer is a very fun Leverage vid. All I'll say is: \o/
China Beach -- Now and Then, a delightful tribute to Boonie Lanier, and Mother Mary, a powerful, gut-wrenching character study of Colleen McMurphy.
(Then I got distracted for about 15 minutes googling information on when China Beach might be available on DVD and fuming about how wrong and wrong and wrong it is that it hasn't yet. Unsurprisingly, it's due to the expense of music rights issues and the studio thinks it won't sell.)
3:10 to Yuma -- all the money I had is gone, a pungent, poignant vid with a slash lens on Ben and Dan.
Much Ado About Nothing -- Just a Girl. Yay, Beatrice! \o/
Chuck -- Honey & the Moon, a wonderful Chuck/Sarah fanvid that gets a lot of why I ship them so.
The Abyss -- Bud+Lindsey: A Modern Romance, that beautifully tells the difficult and strong love story of Bud/Lindsey.

There are so many terrific vids I haven't even looked at yet and I'm sure I'll wind up watching vids for sources I don't even know and wondering where the time went. *flees*
