A 19-year-old girl on a forum that I occasionally post on wants to breed her dog on her 2nd heat (the dog is currently 8 months old), and despite many peoples' best efforts to show the girl the error of her ways, she insists that she knows everything there is to know about breeding.
These direct quotes make me feel like I need to bleach my brain just for reading them and responding to them:
"she has titles and health gaurantees if that is what you want to call it, but it is called health insurance and a regular vet and registered with the county you live in, it is not my fualt AKC does NOT recognize pitbulls. My dog is very well trained too! It is called train her yourself and spend a little time with her."
Wow...just wow. There are so many things wrong with this paragraph that I don't even need to point it all out.
Another gem that really needs no commentary:
"I know a lot more about breeding than what you think, and you do not have to have their hips checked that is just bullshit. [...] people only get their dogs hips checked just so they can get more money for their dogs. like how they get their first shots, and all of that. it is for more money. I know how people work now days."
When I told her that spaying my dog is the best thing I could ever do for her, she responded with this:
"You only have your dog spayed because she is around other dogs. [...] spaying a dog is not good, letting it have sex is even better, by getting it spayed is denying of it's normal instinct."
WHAT???? I've been arguing with a mentally handicapped person! I feel so dirty.
