Dog parks and the like
Someone on the dog.com forums had a bad experience at a dog park. Other people are discussing the pros and cons of dog parks, and how to make it a positive experience, etc etc. One replied with:
your dog and all other dogs at the park need to understand that you are the alpha dog . when i bring bodi to the park he loves to wrestle other when it gets to rough i raise my voice and saw no. if a dog bites bodi out of fear or whatever i run at them yelling no i through a water bottle,and if that doesn't work i will kick the other dog. when i am at the park i am the alpha dog, and can sense when there is going to be trouble. but most of the time it is a good experience and bodi really loves it
Please, tell me that you would kick my dog. You even YELL at my dog, and you're going to find out who the Alpha bitch is. Here's a hint--- it's NOT the dog.
